UFC 59 Sells 400,000 Buys On PPV?

The Wrestling Observer newsletter is reporting that the UFC 59 "Reality Check" PPV featuring Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin and Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski drew 400,000 buyrates according to early industry estimates.

If indeed true, that would surpass the figure for the UFC 57 show featuring the rubber match between Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell, thought to be one of the biggest money-making fights the company had to offer at the time.

This would prove that as the sport continues to dominate national television and other forms of advertising, it will continue to grow, and they will likely be adding new box-office attractions along the way.
