WWE Title Match: John Cena vs. The Great Khali

May 20 will truly be Judgment Day for WWE Champion John Cena, as he defends the gold against one of his largest challenges to date: The Great Khali.

Khali first made it known that he wanted the gold on the Raw following Backlash, attacking Shawn Michaels, Edge and Randy Orton en route to destroying Cena during an in-ring confrontation. He earned the Judgment Day match one week later, defeating HBK to earn the No. 1 contender spot.

Cena has defeated plenty of challengers during his three reigns as WWE Champion, but possibly none have been as dangerous and unpredictable as the 7 foot 3, 420-pound Khali. Will The Champ find a way to put the Punjabi giant down, or will Judgment Day see the beginning of the Khali era?

WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: Edge vs. Batista

As first reported by WWE Mobile Alerts, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long has responded to new World Heavyweight Champion Edge’s heinous actions by placing the Rated-R Superstar in a title match against Batista at Judgment Day.

Speculation within the SmackDown locker room holds that Long was purely incensed by the calculative, vulture-like manner in which Edge won the gold in Pittsburgh. The General Manager intended on determining the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion in a tumultuous Steel Cage Match between former champion Undertaker and Batista – both longtime loyal SmackDown Superstars. This contest – one of the greatest Steel Cage Matches in WWE history – concluded in a draw as both men escaped the steel entrapment at the same time. That same night, Edge capitalized on an injured, brutalized Phenom (after both the caged encounter and a monstrous beating from a returning Mark Henry) to become the new champion.

Imagine The Animal’s surprise on that fateful evening in Pittsburgh, as he staggered his 300-pound frame to the locker room area after taking The Deadman to a second straight draw inside a steel cage. By the time Batista even made it beyond the curtain, the World’s Strongest Man had already distributed the biggest thrashing of his 11-year career. Then, just breaths later, the Rated-R Superstar had cashed in Money in the Bank to benefit from damage that can be greatly attributed to Batista’s collision with The Phenom.

Now, Edge may have to face his own personal Judgment Day as he steps into the ring with an enraged Batista – the man who put Undertaker through the match of a lifetime only to lose the championship at WrestleMania 23. Bearing battle scars from months of punishing and arduously contested wars with The Deadman, Batista enters a bittersweet confrontation at Judgment Day. That emotion may unleash a sizeable beast within Batista unlike anything the Rated-R Superstar has ever had to face in his entire career.

Edge may have been grinning madly in celebration of his golden achievement, but that expression of rapture may be wiped permanently from his jaw by a rabid Animal in St. Louis. Will the Rated-R Superstar regret his decision to trade in his Raw colors for a SmackDown hue? Or will he come to Judgment Day with a game plan just as elaborately detailed as the one he employed to seize his very first World Heavyweight Championship?

Handicap Match for the ECW World Title: Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and Umaga vs. Bobby Lashley

Mr. McMahon gained vengeance on Bobby Lashley for his humiliation at WrestleMania 23 when he took the ECW World Title away from Lashley in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match at Backlash. Now, Lashley will have his chance at revenge when he gets an opportunity to regain the ECW World Title from Mr. McMahon at Judgment Day. But like last time, the deck will be stacked against the former Army sergeant: He will have to battle three men, Umaga, Shane McMahon and the Chairman, to regain his title in a 3-on-1 Handicap Rematch.

Lashley’s road to his Judgment Day rematch has been tortuous. Not only is he tormented by the fact that the Chairman took his title, but he has had to abide by a stipulation to keep his opportunity. Mr. McMahon told Lashley that he must not lay a hand on his son Shane, Umaga or the Chairman unless he was physically provoked. If not, Lashley would lose his rematch. This led to the heroic former champion attacking Umaga’s handler, Armando Estrada – who wasn’t protected under the stipulation – on an edition of ECW on Sci Fi.

Since the Chairman won the ECW World Title, there have been dark days in the Land of the Extreme. Will Lashley regain his ECW Title and gain vengeance on his three sworn enemies? Or will Mr. McMahon be his judge, jury and executioner on this Judgment Day?

2 of 3 Falls for the WWE United States Title: Chris Benoit vs. MVP

The ongoing conflict between United States Champion Chris Benoit and Montel Vontavious Porter will add another chapter at Judgment Day when the two SmackDown Superstars face off in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match for the gold. MVP earned the right to face Benoit once more when he scored a huge victory over former rival Kane in a No. 1 Contender’s Match on SmackDown.

MVP’s pursuit of championship gold has seen him push Benoit to the limit numerous times, only to watch as the experience of the Rabid Wolverine comes out on top. The flashy and confident Superstar has vowed that Benoit will be the first man to lose gold to him.

Chris Benoit remains the United States Champion, and until MVP can find a way to get past the in-ring savvy of the veteran, the only bling the ballin’ Porter can flash is around his neck – not his waist.

Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton

It will be Showstopper vs. Legend Killer when Shawn Michaels meets Randy Orton at Judgment Day.

The match was made official on the final Raw before Judgment Day, and Orton told HBK that he would be meeting him at his best. Later that night, when Michaels took on Edge in the new World Heavyweight Champion's Raw farewell, Orton made an impact to drive home his point.

As HBK celebrated his victory over Edge, The Legend Killer hit the ring and jumped his Judgment Day opponent. Orton used his fists to batter HBK, finishing off with a vicious low blow. As if that weren’t heinous enough, The Legend Killer then gave Michaels a thunderous stomp to the head, capitalizing on Michaels’ pre-existing ailment. Orton then stood over his fallen adversary with a stern look on his face as the capacity crowd in the Hampton Coliseum sat in stunned silence.

Will HBK be at 100 percent this Sunday and have enough to overcome The Legend Killer this Sunday, or will Michaels become another feather in Orton's cap?

Elijah Burke vs. CM Punk

Ever since CM Punk betrayed Elijah Burke and embarrassed him and his New Breed, the silver-tongued pugilist has vowed to get revenge.

Burke personally recruited the Straightedge Superstar to the New Breed in a quest to achieve dominance in ECW. But Punk refused to follow Burke’s lead and “fall in line,” costing the New Breed leader two matches against the ECW Originals.

Burke put Punk on notice on ECW on Sci Fi when he cost him a match against fellow New Breeder Marcus Cor Von and helped damage his ribs. These two ECW Superstars will look to settle their vendetta at Judgment Day. But their battle will be more than a quest for vengeance. Theirs will be a war between two of ECW’s brightest stars and perhaps two sports-entertainment’s future champions.

Carlito vs. Ric Flair

At Judgment Day, Carlito will take on his former mentor, the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

Weeks ago, Flair chastised Carlito for having no heart and no passion. The Caribbean Superstar took Flair's advice to heart, and began teaming with Flair in a mentor/protege alliance. However, after several losses, Carlito became frustrated and berated or simply walked away from Flair. Finally, during a tag team match against The World's Greatest Tag Team, the Southpaw from San Juan took a page from Flair's playbook and attacked the "Nature Boy."

Now, at Judgment Day, the 16-time World Champion will have a chance to right the wrongs done to him by his Caribbean protege. Will Carlito get taken to school this Sunday, or will the student one-up the teacher?
