Road construction apparently attracts drunken drivers who like to go four-wheeling.
MnDOT (MINN'-dot) put up roadblocks in Hutchinson for Highway Seven reconstruction last week. On Friday, the rains came and turned the site to mud, halting construction.
But neither the roadblocks nor the mud stopped some from trying off-road driving.
Police say two vehicles got stuck early Saturday, and while police were dealing with one of them, a third tried to get through. A fourth vehicle got stuck yesterday morning.
All the drivers had four-wheel-drive vehicles, and authorities say all four of those drivers were arrested for drunken driving.
One driver later told police someone broke into his vehicle while it was stuck and stole about a thousand dollars in stereo gear.
