New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action on Saturday
night, April 26th at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street,
Quincy, MA for SPRING BREAKDOWN. Bell time is 7:00 PM.
The main event is a very special triple threat match with the NECW
Triple Crown Championship on the line. Champion, Big Rick Fuller has been
ordered to defend against not one, but two opponents at SPRING
BREAKDOWN. Antonio "The Promise" Thomas, who missed his chance against Fuller
due to injury last month, had negotiated his way into a title shot for
April 26th. However, last month, the giant-like Max Bauer won the #1
contender position defeating "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards. While Bauer was
not successful against Fuller last month, the championship committee
citing the controversial way last month's match ended, has granted Bauer
the chance to both go after Fuller's title and get revenge on Antonio
Thomas at the same time. This is one battle where anything could
happen!
NECW Tag Team Champions, "Rocket" Fred Curry and Chase Del Monte have
signed a return match against PRIDE (Dan Freitas & Brian Nunes) with the
titles on the line. Last month, PRIDE turned on Curry & Del Monte
after coming up short in their match, delivering a vicious post-match
attack. The champions have demanded another match against the former NECW
& PWF Tag Team Champions - one of the most storied teams in the history
of the promotion. PRIDE have made it clear that they are going all
out to recapture the tag team titles and dominate the tag team division
in NECW.
In a special grudge match, it will be "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards taking
up the cause of D.C. Dillinger, who was suspended last month for his
attack on Elektra Arion. It will be Edwards taking on "The Golden Greek"
Alex Arion in what should be a heated contest.
Also signed for SPRING BREAKDOWN is a special IRON 8 Showcase Match.
The 5th Annual IRON 8 Championship will be taking place in Quincy on
Saturday night, May 31 and this match will be viewed by the championship
committee to determine who may be granted a spot in this year's
tournament. It will be "The Real Deal" Brandon Locke, who was a finalist in
last year tournament, facing Team Cairo member, Scott Osbourne.
In a World Women's Wrestling feature match, former WWW Champion, Lexxus
sees action against Amber.
The self-proclaimed "Future Superstar" Ryan Matthews squares off the
Oriental star, Makoto, who will be making his debut in Quincy.

This show includes an eight man elimination tournament featuring some
of the most talented stars in professional wrestling today.
::Breaking Announcement::
IWC Promoter Norm Connors made a very special announcement Tuesday
afternoon concerning the Super Indy Tournament. Connors proclaimed
that the Super Indy VII on April 25 would be the last time this event
occurs. The IWC Promoter explained, “At this point, I have decided
to
no longer continue this event. The Super Indy title will continue, and
the champion will now have to stand on his/her own. Following this
year's tournament, the champion will then hand over the title to the
Super Indy Tournament winner. But that will also be the last time that
happens."
Connors also addressed the final two spots up for grabs in the eight
man tournament. He will appoint the competitors himself, as he
remarked, "I have an idea, but want to make sure all parties agree
first, but it will be a fun one if I can make it happen"
An announcement will be made once Connors finalizes the contracts for
this huge event!
