Billy Red Lyons Passes Away At 77

It is my unfortunate responsibility to report that Billy Red Lyons has passed away. He was 77. Born as William Snip in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada he was an active professional wrestler up until 1984 working for independent promotions in Ontario, California, Minneapolis, Texas, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

Lyons will be best remembered by fans as an interviewer for WWE promoting events throughout Canada in the mid 1980s through the early 1990s. He would end all of his promos with the catch phrase, "don'tcha dare miss it." On behalf of me and the entire Wrestling News World team, we send our heartfelt condolences out to his friends and family.
