Naked 91-year-old holds intruder at gunpoint

A 91-year-old man in Florida who caught a drunk man on his property held the suspected burglar at gunpoint until police arrived - while stark naked.

World War II veteran Robert E. Thompson was in bed when he heard his dog growling and attacking the intruder, at his house in Lake Worth, Florida. So he grabbed his revolver and went to confront the man.

He says he didn't even realise that he wasn't wearing clothes, until sheriff's deputies arrived and were surprised to find a nude pensioner pointing a gun at a drunk man.

The 26-year-old intruder was arrested, and taken to Palm Beach County Jail on a burglary charge.
