ROH 3/1/10 Results
We start the show with images from February 13 th, the night Tyler Black won the ROH World Title. We are then reminded that tonight in the Main Event it will be Roderick Strong and ROH World Champion Tyler Black v. Austin Aries and Kenny King.
In Ring Action….
The Dark City Fight Club v. The American Wolves
This is an amazing match to start the show off. These two teams bring everything they have to each match. As I thought it would, this is a very strong style match. Both teams are beating the hell out of each other. I really love the Wolves. They can wrestle with anyone. I wish we could see them every week. Both teams work hard and fast and this match comes to a very quick finish. The Dark City Fight Club hits their finisher for the pin.
Winners- The Dark City Fight Club
Backstage we are joined by SkullKrusher. He is talking about how he is being courted by many different groups in ROH. He lets us know it is all about SkullKrusher.
Back to the ring…..
Bobby Dempsey v. Steve Corino
This is a very quick match with Steve Corino taking out Bobby Dempsey in just a few minutes.
Winner-Steve Corino
After the match Kevin Steen comes out and attacks Bobby Dempsey with all that he has and then some. After some severe beatings, Dempsey is carried from the ring.
Sara Del Rey is interviewed about what she loves about the sport. She says she loves to train more than even getting in the ring. She hates all the models and soft girls wanting to compete. She says it all about the work and the pain.
Handicap Match
The Set v. SkullKrusher
This was another set up to make SkullKrusher a monster. Some huge power moves by Krusher followed by his finisher The Burning Hammer.
Winner-SkullKrusher
Portia Perez v. Sara Del Rey
Great Ladies match with these two women showing they are not Divas. Del Rey really has the experience advantage, but Perez hangs in there for quite some time. Del Rey is too much for Perez. She hits a standing piledriver for the pin.
Winner-Sara Del Rey
After the match we are shown the first round match ups for the World Television Title Tournament. It will be Kevin Steen v. Rhett Titus, Colt Cabana v. Eddie Edwards, Delirious v. Davey Richards, and finally El Generico v. Kenny King. The tournament begins March 8th.
Back to the Ring….
Main Event
Roderick Strong and ROH World Champion Tyler Black v. Austin Aries and Kenny King
Some really great talent in the ring for this one. Black and Strong once friends, now we are not sure. Tonight though they must work together. Aries is one of the best story tellers in the business. He treats his matches as a work of art, from the action in the ring to the looks he gives the heated fans. King is lucky to be working alongside him. If he listens he could learn how to become a great heel. Strong spends a majority of the match giving both A Double and King chops from hell and back. King and A Double cut the ring in half in true tag team fashion. It is so hard to find true tag team action in today’s world of “Entertainment”. After what seems like a lifetime, Tyler Black gets back in the ring. He takes control of the show and comes up with several near falls on King. Black then hits a flying, flipping suicide dive on Aries outside the ring. Black then attempts a superkick on King, but hits Strong instead. King for the cover and the pin.
Winners-Austin Aries and Kenny King
After the match Black tries to explain to Strong that it was an accident, but Strong will have none of that. Both men have to separated. I can’t wait for this title match!
