NBC picks up 'The Cape', three more

NBC has confirmed pickups for three new dramas and one new comedy for next season.

The haul is headlined by The Cape, a new series about a cop who is framed for a crime he didn't commit and then becomes a masked hero in an attempt to clear his name. The cast includes David Lyons and Summer Glau.

Also included are Outlaw, a drama starring Jimmy Smits as a Supreme Court justice who quits to take on the system; and Harry’s Law, a new drama from David E. Kelley about a group of people who start a legal practice in an old shoe store.

The comedy pickup is Friends With Benefits, starring Dollhouse's Fran Kranz as one of a group of twentysomethings who struggle with the world of dating.

Additionally, NBC officially confirmed the renewal of Chuck for a 13-episode fourth season.
