Danielson's Final Indy Date Tonight and More...

Awesome Kong, citing her back issues, again pulled out of her scheduled bout with Mickie James early this morning in Waterbury, CT for Northeast Wrestling. Kong pulled out earlier this week, then changed her mind. I am told the original plan was for James to go over. I have no idea whether that had any bearing on Kong pulling back out.

Yanking herself out at the last minute le NEW and promoter Mike O'Brien in an awful position of trying to get a substitute with some value the day of the show (and on an awful travel day, weather-wise, for the entire Northeast as well).

The NEW event tonight will also feature Daniel Bryan's last appearance on the independent circuit as he faces former WWE star Shelton Benjamin for the first time ever. Tommy Dreamer, Carlito Colon and more are also scheduled.
