Richards dispels Sheen death rumours

Denise Richards has dismissed a rumor circulated online that ex-husband Charlie Sheen had died in a snowboarding accident.

Sheen death rumors appeared on the internet over the Christmas weekend, but Richards reassured his fans via Twitter that he was alive and well.

Richards wrote: "The rumor about Charlie Sheen is not true. He is alive and on his way over to see his daughters. Thank u all your concern [sic]."

It is currently unclear where the hoax began, but various social networking sites, including Twitter and Facebook, were full of speculation over the weekend that Sheen had crashed his snowboard into a tree.
