6000 Calories a Day for Hugh Jackman

HUGH Jackman is bulking up!

The actor says he’s eating 6,000 calories a day to prepare for his role in the next installment of Wolverine.

“Right now, I’m at 210,” Jackman says of his current weight, the result of an intense diet and workout regime. “It’s 6,000 calories a day. It’s rough.”

Jackman revealed director Darren Aronofsky “said with the last one, ‘Hey you looked great, but you’re so tall that in those long shots you looked kind of like Clint Eastwood, and that’s not Wolverine.

“He said that Wolverine, in the comics, is powerful, stocky…he’s short and thick. So he said, ‘I want you to go there, get bigger.’

“If I have a massive heart attack, well, you tell everyone what I was going for.”

Jackman recently gushed that his wife Deborra-Lee Furness — whom he’s been married to for 14 years — is the most “gorgeous” woman he’s ever met.

“Debbie is the most gorgeous woman I have ever met,” he said.

“She is incredible loyal and funny, she trusts me, understands me and she cooks great. In addition to that she is capable of some other things we shouldn’t talk about now.

“After three months I was thinking about a marriage proposal.”

“Family is the most important to me. Everything starts and ends with my wife.”
