Shelton Benjamin's WWE Royal Rumble Return Was Scrapped

The decision to put NXT star Bo Dallas into the WWE Royal Rumble match cost a the surprise return of Shelton Benjamin who agreed to work the match while in town for a local indy event. Carlito was also backstage at the event but was replaced by The Godfather.
Goldust's return had been planned for a week prior to the pay-per-view.
