Insomniac developing Xbox One exclusive, Sunset Overdrive

Resistance developer Insomniac Games has signed an exclusivity with Microsoft Studios to develop an entirely new IP called Sunset Overdrive.



Speaking at Microsoft's E3 press conference in LA, Insomniac director Ted Price described Sunset Overdrive as an open-world stylised shooter. He said that the game's levels would in fact be "living world", utilising "the power of the cloud".

The first Sunset Overdrive trailer of the game showed that it resembled Insomniac's initial intentions with its latest new title Fuse - using highly stylised characters involved in frantic combat.



A release date for the Xbox One exclusive was not announced.
