ROH TV taping results 7/19/14

Mike Bennett was out due to reported food poisoning. ROH returns to Michigan and debuts in Kalamazoo on October 11.

Dark Match: Will Ferrera beat Jon Gresham.

Episode 1 Taping

(1) ROH tag champions ReDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) beat Ethan Page & Ethan Gabriel Owens with Chasing the Dragon to retain the ROH Tag Titles.

(2) Moose beat Hakim Zane with a spear.

(3) Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian beat The Decade (Jimmy Jacobs & Roderick Strong), War Machine (Hanson & Rowe), and Jay & Mark Briscoe to earn a future ROH Tag Title shot. Daniels won by pinning Strong after the BME. Notably, Bobby Fish was ringside, Jimmy Jacobs taunted Daniels & Kaz on behalf of The Decade, and The Decade tried a post-match beat down, but the other teams fended them off.

Episode 2 Taping

(1) Cedric Alexander won a Golden Gauntlet match for future ROH World Title shot.

- B.J. Whitmer pinned Caprice Coleman.
- Matt Taven eliminated Whitmer.
- Taven eliminated Romantic Touch.
- ROH TV champion Jay Lethal eliminated Taven.
- Alexander beat Lethal to win the Gauntlet.

Episode 3 Taping

(1) Adam Cole beat Rocky Romero with the figure-four.

(2) Tommaso Ciampa beat Adam Page with a knee to the face followed by Project Ciampa. Afterward, Ciampa cut a promo wanting a title shot against Elgin, but he was cut off by Silas Young. Ciampa sent him to the back in a physical way.

(3) ROH World champion Michael Elgin beat ROH tag champion Kyle O’Reilly to retain the ROH World Title. Elgin brought out Tyson Dux to offset ROH tag champ Bobby Fish. After the match, a huge brawl broke out featuring several wrestlers.

Episode 4 Taping

(1) A.C.H. beat Tadarius Thomas. Afterward, Jacobs and Whitmer "beat respect" into Thomas and Adam Page. Both "young boys" seemed ready to revolt, but did not.

(2) Tyson Dux beat Takaaki Watanabe with a sliding clothesline.

(3) Kevin Steen beat Steve Corino via Package Piledriver in his farewell match.

Afterward, Jimmy Jacobs came down to the ring and all three men hugged, but it was a set up! Roderick Strong and B.J. Whitmer hit the ring and attacked Steen, but he was able to fend them off. Babyfaces came down to help. After the ring cleared, balloons, silly string, a John Cena action figure, and champagne were all out for the party.
