Just a five foot venomous lizard chilling on the side of a house
Oh, don’t mind me, I’m juuuust chilling.
That’s probably the mindset of this giant lizard, after it was discovered hanging on the side of a house in New South Wales, Australia.
The five foot long Lace Monitor lizard was discovered by homeowner Eric Holland – and he managed to take a snap of the huge creature before it scuttled off.
When asked about the moment that he noticed the lizard, Eric responded in typically Australian fashion.
‘Well, it was a bloody big shock mate,’ he told radio station 2GB.
‘I nearly trod on the bloody thing.’
He further told MailOnline: ‘I was just going outside to have a stretch when he waddled up to me and reared up. If it was a Martian I wouldn’t have had a bigger shock.
‘I have lived here for 18-years but I have never seen a lizard that big before. It was huge.’
After snapping the photo, Mr Holland moved indoors after fearing he would be scratched or bitten by the lizard – which carries a venomous bacteria in its mouth.
