All Japan Pro-Wrestling “2017 Dynamite Series”, 6/11/2017

The full event card was announced for the June 11 show.

In addition the previously announced main event of Shuji Ishikawa defending the Triple Crown belt against Jake Lee and Suwama taking on Kento Miyahara, it was also announced that the World Tag belts will be in defense. As the new champions in Kengo Mashimo and KAI takes on the former champions in Zeus and Bodyguard on the show. Mashimo refused to attend the press conference that was scheduled, but KAI spoke on his behalf and said Mashimo accepts the defense. Issues still exist between KAI and Mashimo, but the two have proven to be effective in initially capturing the belts. Though their first defense will be telling for sure if they can come together as a cohesive team.

In addition, TAJIRI makes his return to Japan as he is set to compete in a 6 man tag match along with Yutaka Yoshie and Minoru Tanaka to take on Jun Akiyama, Ultimo Dragon and Atsushi Maruyama. Having recently competed in WWE’s cruiserweight division, TAJIRI is now free from his contract with them as he looks to take on new challengers at this stage in life. The first of which being Jun Akiyama. TAJIRI said there is still much for him to try and accomplish in Japan specifically, including even hinting a the possibility of trying for the Triple Crown belt.

Also Osamu Nishimura continues to carry the BANG! TV belt, which he captured in the USA from Dalton Drellich, as he aims to take on and give opportunities to any and all challengers. He will be taking on Rikiya Fudo from LAND’S END. Nishimura stated that he holds Dory Funk Jr. in high regard and aims to show nothing but the utmost respect and honor as he defends the belt.
