NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Day 11 Report / Results - 29th May, 2019

Best of the Super Juniors Day 11, May 29th:

A Block

SHO defeated Titan. This was an okay match. SHO went after the arm of Titan for a while. Titan started to take to the air and then used an inverted figure four on the taped up knee of SHO. There were some sloppy parts in the middle with some weak looking strikes. The finish saw SHO hit a cross armed piledriver. Titan kicked out, but was then immediately dropped with Shock Arrow.

Taiji Ishimori defeated Tiger Mask IV. This was a very short match. It began with salty Tiger Mask kicking Ishimori around aggressively for a while. Ishimori picked up the pace briefly, using things like a running knee strike in the corner. Ishimori wrestled Tiger into the LeBelle Lock and got the submission win.

Shingo Takagi defeated Jonathan Gresham. This was a really good match, but not the blow away match that I was expecting. The power of Shingo was too much for Gresham to handle. Gresham went after a knee, but was still unable to bring him down easily. Shingo shrugged off a running knee and stayed on his feet after a suicide dive. Gresham used a sleeper on the floor to try and get a countout. Shingo hit an amazing Death Valley Driver. He hit Noshagami and The Pumping Bomber for a near fall. Gresham countered Last of the Dragon into a pin and then into the Octopus, which Shingo countered back into Last of the Dragon to finish the match.

Dragon Lee defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Good main event, with a lot of shenanigans. Kanemaru took control early and used a suplex on the floor. Lee exploded back into it with a dropkick and a big dive. Taichi got involved later on and unmasked Lee. Lee managed to blocked a whiskey shot and hit a high knee while unmasked. He hit his finisher, but Taichi got involved again. Kanemaru tried more shenanigans, but was again dropped with Dragon Lee’s suplex/powerbomb to end the match.
