Title Match Set For Slammiversary XVII

Impact Wrestling revealed the latest match to be added to their next pay-per-view event, Slammiversary XVII. On Wednesday, the promotion officially announced that Johnny Impact will cash-in his opportunity for an X Division Title Match against Rich Swann.

This match was set up when Impact won an Ultimate X Match against Jake Crist, Dante Fox, Ace Austin, and Pat Buck to earn a title match back in April at the Impact United We Stand event.

Slammiversary XVII will be held on Sunday, July 7, at Gilley’s Dallas in Texas. Impact World Champion Brian Cage makes his next title defense against Michael Elgin in the main event of this show.

The three-hour event begins at 8 p.m. ET and will be available on all major PPV distributors, including DISH, DirecTV, iN Demand, Vubiquity, Rogers, Bell, Shaw, Sasktel. Also, it will be streamed live globally on IMPACT Plus and the FITE.tv app.

Rob Van Dam, Eddie Edwards, Moose, Sami Callihan, Pentagon Jr., Fenix, the high-flying X-Division, plus the Knockouts, including Taya Valkyrie, Tessa Blanchard, Rosemary, Jordynne Grace, Madison Rayne and Su Yung are all advertised to appear.

The promotion will be announcing more matches in the coming days.
