Maria Manic Given WWE Tryout, Reportedly Done With ROH

Ring of Honor had been building up Maria Manic as an unstoppable monster in recent months. Although she never actually competed in a match, Manic would appear after matches in the WOH division and generally beat up everyone within her vicinity. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, Manic is done with ROH and received a WWE tryout recently.

“Maria Manic’s short-term contract expired and she went to the WWE Performance Center this week for a tryout, so she’s done here,” wrote Dave Meltzer.

The 22-year-old from Chicago is believed to have had a WWE tryout last year as well.

Manic hasn’t wrestled an actual match since May and never did wrestle one in Ring of Honor. It appeared as though the promotion was building to a WOH World Championship match between her and the former champion Angelina Love after the Allure member won the title last month. Recently at Glory by Honor, however, the title went back on the now 3x champion Kelly Klein.

Next up for Ring of Honor will be a 3-show tour in the UK. ROH stops in London, Newport, and Bolton on the tour.
