AEW/NWA Star is planning to compete in MMA

In addition to her work for All Elite Wrestling, Thunder Rosa will also be returning to work for the NWA after the promotion had been on hiatus for a few months in 2020.

Rosa is also planning to compete in another MMA fight and wants to do it this year. Fightful Select has a report that noted Rosa told the media outlet that she is still under contract with Combate Americas until September and fully expects to fight for them before then.

Rosa also noted that while the NWA is supportive of the deal, but she has not had any conversations with AEW as it pertains to her fighting career.

Rosa has only fought once as a professional, which saw her lose her debut fight to Nadine Mandiau in November 2019 by unanimous decision.

She is slated to take on Britt Baker in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match on this week’s episode of Dynamite on TNT, which has already been taped and received praise for the effort the two ladies put into the match. It will be the main event of the show.
