:aew:
– It's Friday and we are still at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida, and it’s time for a LIVE AEW Rampage. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Taz, Ricky Starks, and Chris Jericho.
Darby Allin vs Andrade El Idolo vs Sammy Guevara (TNT Champion)
Andrade rolls out of the ring, Darby and Sammy go out after him. He rolls in and they team up against him, working Andrade over in the corner. Sammy goes to pin Andrade and Darby pulls him off. Darby gets a headlock on Sammy and they work up to run the ropes. Sammy ends it with a drop kick on Darby. They go to the top and after being pushed off, Sammy runs back for a rising knee. He hits leaping kicks. As Sammy has Darby up for a stalled suplex, Andrade grabs them both, holds them for a moment and then drops the pair in an impressive feat of balance.
Andrade tosses Darby onto the ropes and we go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, they are standing tall over Sammy and Darby. He hits a series of suplexes on Sammy and the last one is into the turnbuckle. Darby tries a running clothesline, but Andrade drops him. Andrade goes to the top and hits a double Moonsault and covers Darby for a two, broken up by Sammy. All three men get to their feet and throw hands in the middle of the ring. Darby leaps into Andrade’s arms, and Sammy hits a kick. Sammy is tossed out of the ring as retaliation.
Andrade goes to the top and Darby fires up and knocks his feet out from under him, he takes his belt off and starts whipping Andrade. Andrade is hung up in the ropes and Sammy hits a coast to coast drop kick on him. Everyone is down and trying to recuperate. Darby is able to get up and leaps into Andrade on the floor. Sammy and Darby are in the ring and trade two counts.
Andrade ends it by kicking each of them in the head. He hits a driver on Sammy and covers him, broken up by Darby. Darby hits an over the top stunner on Andrade, and Sammy lifts him up for a GTH. Darby tosses Sammy out of the ring, and hits a coffin drop on Andrade for a two count. Sammy is able to come in and roll up Andrade for the three count and the win.
Winner and still TNT Champion: Sammy Guevara
– Pac, Penta and Alex are in the ring and they challenge the House of Black to a match on Sunday.
The lights go out. They come back on and they come to the ring. Alex then says he didn’t say the three of them were challenging them. They have their own monster, and Eric Redbeard comes from the back. Security shows to try to keep them apart, but Eric clears the ring.
– Death Triangle holds the ring as we go to the back.
Dan Lambert is talking about how he has gotten Scorpio Sky a TNT title match in exchange for Paige Van Zant signing with AEW on Sunday at the PPV.
Keith Lee vs JD Drake
Starks and Hobbs are at commentary and taunt Lee.
Drake is in the ring as we start, so you know what that means.
Drake is almost as tall as Lee, and looks a little impressive himself. Lee double chaps Drake down. They run the ropes and Lee shoulder tackles Drake down and we go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Lee is throwing hands. They go to the corner and Drake gets in some offense, Brake gets a cannonball in the corner and he leaps from the to cover Lee for a one count. Drake tries for a suplex and Lee picks him up and puts him on the top. Drake leaps for a crossbody and Lee catches him, lifts him up and hits an attitude adjustment for a three count.
Winner: Keith Lee
The Wingmen attack Lee and he tosses them out of the ring. Hobbs and Starks head to the ring to attack, but Orange Cassidy comes out and Team Taz stops before getting to the ring.
– We get a video from after Punk was attacked on Wednesday and he tells MJF that he’s getting the same guy he grew up loving. He will beat him, beat him, and beat him some more. A Great old school promo to talk you into the building.
– In the back, Tony Schiavone is with Jade Cargill and Mark Sterling. Mark says he had a stipulation in the contract that Tay can’t attack Jade until 48 before the PPV. So, Tay shows and reminds him it is now 48 hours until the PPV and drops Jade.
The Professor Serena Deeb’s 5 Minute Challenge
Leila Grey answers the five-minute challenge. It’s a tough task since Deeb’s winning all of these in less than three minutes. Grey leaves the ring to avoid Deeb. If she can outrun the clock, she can still secure the victory. Deeb catches her and slams her onto the floor outside of the ring.
Deeb hits a backstabber onto Grey and locks her in a chokehold maneuver to win the match. Quick victory for The Professor. After the match Deeb attacks Grey, but Hikaru Shida makes the save. Shida races to the ring with a kendo stick and hits nearly a dozen of strikes onto Deeb. Deeb escapes through the crowd to avoid more of Shida’s attacks.
Winner: Serena Deeb
– In the back, Tony Schiavone is with Eddie Kingston. Eddie mocks people using insider terms and tells Jericho he shouldn't have tried to flip the script on him. Because he’s gonna beat the crap out of Jericho. He then tells Tony to come with him for some peanut butter pie in catering.
– We get Mark Henry with Christian Cage and Ethan Page talking about their Face of the Revolution Ladder qualifying match coming up next.
Christian Cage vs Ethan Page
It’s time to determine who is taking the FINAL spot in the ladder match at AEW Revolution this Sunday. Page attacks Christian early on in the match, but Christian hits a flying uppercut off the middle rope. It’s only a one count. Christian tosses Page out of the ring and follows it up with a running dropkick to Page on the outside.
During the commercial, Page brutalizes Christian with strikes. Page sends Christian into the mat after a delayed vertical suplex. Page locks Christian into a bear hug of sorts, but Christian gets out with a back elbow. Christian slams Page’s face off the steel steps and hits a tornado DDT to the outside floor.
Back in the ring, Christian punches Page and lands a springboard sunset flip. Christian drops Page with an inverted DDT, but he only gets a two count. Christian climbs to the top rope, but Page rolls out of the ring. Page leaps through the ropes to nail Christian with a beautiful cutter. Christian takes control shortly after and hits a diving headbutt to Page.
Christian attempts a spear and gets a shoulder tackle from Page instead. Page sets up for a powerbomb, but Christian slithers out and lands a spear. He’s only able to get a two-count, so this match continues on. Page sends Christian shoulder first into the unforgiving steel post. Page sets up for Ego’s Edge, but Christian escapes and hits the Killswitch.
Winner: Christian Cage
Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus come to the ring to celebrate with him, but the Young Bucks and reDRagon come down to the ring. Jungle Boy sees that they are all mocking them with the tag team title belts and he leaps onto them, and we are desperately out of time!
