This week on RAMPAGE, the reunited Death Triangle in a 6-man tag match. Riho and Ruby Soho battle it out in the First Round of the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament. Plus, Scorpio Sky defends his TNT Championship against former SCU teammate Frankie Kazarian!

Death Triangle (Pac, Penta Oscuro & Rey Fenix) vs. The Blade, The Butcher & Marq Quen

Penta and Blade start off and Penta quickly hits a superkick. Penta tags in Pac who hits a kick to Blade’s gut and holds Blade’s legs up for Penta to hit a dropkick from the top rope to Blade’s backside. Pac continues to pound Blade but gets pulled to the floor by Butcher. Butcher hits a backdrop suplex on the ring apron and rolls Pac back into the ring. Blade tags in Butcher.

Chris Jericho names The Butcher & The Blade his Sports Entertainers of the Week.

A low dropkick by Pac takes down Butcher and Pac follows with a dropkick from the top rope. Butcher retreats to the floor. Pac waits for him to come back in. Butcher does, and tags in Quen. Quen charges into a hip toss. Pac tags in Fenix. Quen misses a standing a moonsault but is able to take down Fenix with a hurricanrana and a series of kicks.

Quen sets up Fenix in a powerbomb position but Fenix lifts him up for a flapjack. Fenix this a springboard tornillo into an arm drag. Fenix tries for his rebound reversal in the ropes but Butcher runs interference and Quen hits a dropkick to send Fenix to the floor as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Blade has Fenix in a front headlock. Fenix tries to power to his corner but Butcher and Quen knock Penta and Pac off the apron. Butcher hits an assisted leg drop on Fenix. Quen hits a 450 Splash on Fenix as the tags are coming quickly for their side. Quen goes to the top rope and hits a dive onto Penta and Pac on the floor. In the ring, Blade and Butcher hit a double team on Fenix for a near fall.

Blade chops Fenix and goes for a suplex but Fenix escapes and hits a hurricanrana. Fenix crawls to his corner but Blade grabs his leg. Fenix hits his rebound kick and crawls to his corner again, tagging in Penta.

Penta runs wild on Quen and Butcher and tags in Pac. Pac kicks away on Quen and hits a deadlift German suplex for a 2-count. Butcher and Blade grab Pac’s legs from the floor but Fenix and Penta take them out with a pair of dives. Pac takes down Quen again. Fenix and Penta hit Fear Factor on Quen and Pac follows with the Black Arrow for the pin.

Winners: Death Triangle

The lights go out after the match and when they come back on, the House of Black are in the ring. They have a very brief staredown. The lights go out again and when they come back, the House of Black is gone.

Shawn Spears vs. Bear Boulder

This is Bear Boulder’s first singles match in AEW.

Spears starts with a “10” taunt. Boulder grabs him by the throat and presses him over his head. Spears escapes but Boulder catches his cross body and slams him down. Boulder misses a charge in the corner. Spears mounts Boulder in the corner and lands some punches. Spears pauses and Boulder grabs him by the throat with both hands and brings him out to the center of the ring.

Boulder tries to mount Spears in the corner but Spears rakes his eyes and then brings Boulder out of the corner on his shoulders and hits the C4 for the pin.

Winner: Shawn Spears

– Lexy Nair is backstage with Tony Nese and Mark Sterling. Sterling is in a neck brace and crutch. He says the match against Hook and Danhausen can’t happen because he doesn’t even own a pair of tights. Nese says the match is actually fine because he take them both by himself.

Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Quarterfinal: Riho vs. Ruby Soho

They shake hands to start out.

A lockup leads to a clean break against the ropes. Soho an armbar but Riho reverses it. Soho reverses and uses the ropes to flip out of it and get back into her own armbar. Soho kicks Riho in the gut but misses a running knee. Riho tries for a Northern Lights Suplex but Soho blocks it. Riho responds with a head-scissor takedown and a double stomp.

Excalibur mentions that Hikaru Shida is not medically cleared and will be replaced by Kris Statlander in the tournament.

Soho regains control and goes to the top rope. Riho avoids a double stomp and fires up with some forearms. Soho responds with a headbutt but is now favoring her knee. Riho blocks No Future and locks on a half Boston Crab. Soho reaches the ropes as we head into the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Riho hits a running knee into the corner on Soho for a 2-count. We get a replay of a Dragon Suplex by Riho during the break.

Soho manages to get Riho on the top rope, where Riho gets the better of a strike exchange to knock her off and hits a cross body for a 2-count. Soho hits an elbow strike and tries for a Blade Runner but Riho reverses it into a crucifix bomb a close near fall. Riho charges but runs into a pair of boots from Soho. Soho hits a backdrop driver for a 2-count. Soho goes for the Blade Runner again and hits it to get the pin.

Winner: Ruby Soho

Riho and Soho raise each other’s hands after the match.

– Backstage with Gunn Club and The Acclaimed, where Billy Gunn is trying to get them on the same page.

– Back to the ring, Tony Schiavone introduces the TBS Champion Jade Cargill and The Baddies, Kiera Hogan, and Red Velvet. Mark Sterling is with them, still in his neck brace and using a crutch. Cargill says, “First and foremost, Tony, cut the sh*t!”

Schiavone informs them that Shida will not be able to face Velvet in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Cargill says that actually sounds like good news. She asks Sterling what happened to him and then cuts him off when he starts to answer and says no one cares.

Sterling says Velvet should move on in the tournament because Shida can’t compete. Schiavone informs Velvet that her opponent will be “one of your long-time friends”. Kris Statlander makes her entrance. That tournament match will happen on next Friday’s Rampage.

Back from the break, Mark Henry chats with the opponents in tonight’s main event. Ethan Page doesn’t know why Frankie Kazarian gets a title shot. Scorpio Sky says it’s because he gave Kaz his word. Kaz wants a one-on-one match. Sky tells Page and Dan Lambert to take the rest of the night off.

TNT Championship Match: Frankie Kazarian vs. Scorpio Sky

The former tag team partners who were the first AEW Tag Team Champions square off here.

Sky enters alone. Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti are sitting at ringside.

Sky and Kaz shake hands as the crowd chants “SCU”. A lockup to start ends in a stalemate. Another leads to a takedown by Kaz. Sky works back to his feet and grabs an armbar. Kaz comes off the ropes with a shoulder block and both men back off to reset.

Kaz retakes the advantage with a short arm-scissor that grounds Sky. Sky rolls out of it for a pinning attempt that breaks the hold. Sky tries for the TKO. Kaz tries for the cross-face chicken wing. Neither works and they collide in the middle of the ring.

Kaz goes for a suplex that Sky tries to block. Kaz finally gets a fisherman suplex for a 2-count. Kaz charges but Sky avoids him and Kaz spills to the floor. Sky follows with a dive as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Sky whips Kaz into the corner but charges into a back elbow. Kaz hits a slicing leg drop through the ropes and comes back in with a rollup for a 2-count. Kaz follows with a lariat. Kaz goes for a springboard but Sky catches him on his shoulders. Kaz reverses that into a pinning attempt that Sky escapes. Kaz hits his springboard leg drop and gets a 2-count.

Kaz goes for the cross-face chicken wing but Sky counters it with a lawbreaker. Sky charges into the corner but Kaz sends him up and over to the ring apron. Kaz slingshots Sky back in and hits a mid-air cutter for a big near fall. Kaz goes for the cross-face chicken wing again and Sky struggles to avoid it. Sky tries to push off the ropes but Kaz won’t release the hold. Dan Lambert runs down to the ring and starts talking to the referee. Ethan Page enters and knocks out Kaz with the TNT Title belt. Sky falls on top for the pinning attempt but Kaz kicks out.

Sky hits the TKO and gets the pin. Commentary says Sky was out while he was in the chicken wing and Kaz should be champion. Sky is arguing with Page and Lambert about them interfering in the match. Sky is acting like he didn’t realize they got involved. Page finally gets the mic and says he did interfere and asks Sky whose side he’s on. Sky hits Kaz in the face with the TNT Title belt. Sky says he loves it when a plan comes together. Guevara and Conti enter the ring to run off Sky, Page, and Lambert.
