Kota Ibushi To Wrestle For GLEAT On August 4 In Japan
Kota Ibushi will return to the ring next month for Japan's GLEAT promotion.
At Saturday's GLEAT event, a video package aired announcing that Ibushi will be in action against Mega at the August 4 GLEAT event from Ryogoku Sumo Hall.
August 4 will mark Ibushi's first match since WrestleMania 39 weekend, when he wrestled two matches for Game Changer Wrestling. He defeated Speedball Mike Bailey at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport 9 and beat Joey Janela at Joey Janela's Spring Break 7.
Prior to these matches, Ibushi had not wrestled since New Japan Pro Wrestling's G1 Climax 2021 final (10/21/21), when he lost to Kazuchika Okada. Ibushi missed a lot of ring time due to a shoulder injury and officially departed NJPW earlier this year.
