Giulia Dethrones Willow Nightingale To Become NJPW Strong Women's Champion
AEW star Willow Nightingale has been dethroned as she endured a shocking loss against STARDOM's Giulia.
Nightingale, who is one of the most popular AEW stars had been competing outside the promotion. She went on to become the inaugural NJPW Strong Women's Champion, defeating Momo Kohgo and Mercedes Martinez in a one-night tournament at NJPW Strong Resurgence. She also made two successful title defenses. However, she wasn't successful this time around.
Willow Nightingale shockingly lost the NJPW Strong Women's Championship to Giulia, which could result in some interesting plans ahead.
The two stars had a one-on-one match at the recent NJPW Strong Independence Day pay-per-view. Despite a strong showing from the AEW star, Giulia eventually managed to pick up the victory. She hit an explosive Northern Lights Bomb which was enough for the three count. This marks her first reign as NJPW Strong Women's Champion for Giulia and with the win, she becomes the second person to hold the belt.
Giulia's victory has been largely positive among the fans on social media. Many believe that this win could be her pathway to making All Elite Wrestling debut.

There has been more speculation about Giulia. It is believed that she will end up facing AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm and potentially challenge her for the gold down the line.
