Donald Trump once actually believed that Vince McMahon was dead after an infamous segment on Raw
Vince McMahon is known to have had multiple storylines in WWE that were over the top and made no sense in real life. Over the years, the quality of the storylines decreased so much that WWE lost many fans in the process. However, one story that was over the top yet memorable for the fans was the Vince McMahon death angle.
On a random episode of Raw, Vince McMahon was seen getting into a limo. As soon as he shut the door, the car exploded into flames. The plan was to make a whole storyline out of McMahon’s death and introduce members of his family who tried to take his place. Unfortunately, the storyline had to be scrapped due to the real-life passing of former WWE Champion Chris Benoit.
Triple H revealed that after the show, former US President Donald Trump called up to check if Vince was fine. He was genuinely concerned for his longtime friend.
The two billionaires share a long history, as Donald Trump has appeared on WWE programming multiple times over decades. He was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. He joined legends like Bruno Sammartino, Trish Stratus, Bob Backlund, and Mick Foley in the class of the 2013 Hall of Fame.
