AEW Expected to Move to MAX - Monthly Pay Per Views in 2024

AEW's pay-per-view schedule could expand dramatically next year following a move to MAX.
Since launching in 2019, AEW has opted to host only a handful of pay-per-view events each year, in stark contrast to their main rival: WWE.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast is "confident" that MAX (formerly known as HBO MAX) will become the home of AEW pay-per-views in 2024.
Zarian adds that his belief is that AEW will be running 12 pay-per-views each year, equivalent to one a month. On his show, Zarian went as far as to say that this was "not a prediction" and feels "very confident to say it."
Speaking on the AEW Double or Nothing 2023 media call earlier this year, AEW President Tony Khan said that there was "potential" for more shows to be added, but stressed it would have to be the right economic situation for the promotion and the right thing to do for the fans.
AEW launched with four staple events: Revolution, Double or Nothing, All Out, and Full Gear, which have taken place each year the promotion has operated. AEW would add AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door in 2022 which would be brought back earlier this year.
Last month, AEW introduced its sixth annual pay-per-view event, All In, which also marked the promotion's first international show. The show would also prove to be AEW's highest-attended event, despite disputing reports about the actual paid attendance for the show.
