Dwayne Johnson is training intensely for his next film, "The Smashing Machine." In this role, he will portray MMA fighter Mark Kerr, requiring him to refine his skills. Johnson is dedicated to preparing for this challenging role. He recently posted a video of his training regimen, showing the effort he is putting in to get in shape for the part. The Rock has wanted to play Kerr for years, and this is a real passion project for him. He is making it happen, and then a return to WWE is always a possibility.
The film starring Dwayne Johnson is set to release in 2025. There is already a 2002 documentary about Kerr's life called "The Smashing Machine: The Life and Times of Extreme Fighter Mark Kerr," directed by John Hyams.
