Logan Paul to Interview Donald Trump For Podcast, Wants Joe Biden Next
Logan Paul has taken on all-comers as the WWE United States Champion and now the Maverick has come face-to-face with Donald Trump.
TMZ reports that Paul has already interviewed the former President for an upcoming episode of his ImPaulsive Podcast. This came about after the former President's team reached out to Paul's team and requested the meet-up. In a TikTok of the former President, Trump and Paul have a staredown with the United States Championship in the middle. The pair then embrace and have a laugh between themselves.
While Paul will interview Trump, he may not be the only politician to appear on the podcast. The reigning WWE U.S. Champion also hopes to interview President Joe Biden, though the current President has not publicly responded to the idea at this time.
This upcoming episode comes at an interesting time for the billionaire. Trump was found guilty on all 34 charges of falsifying business records in a historic trial at Manhattan Criminal Court. Like his 2020 Presidential loss to President Joe Biden, Trump has claimed the jury's verdict was rigged and plans to appeal. Trump is now awaiting sentencing in July, with each of his convictions carrying a maximum potential sentence of up to four years in prison.
It's unclear if pro-wrestling will be brought up as part of the ImPaulsive episode with the former President. Trump Plaza served as the host of WrestleMania 4 and 5 and Trump himself was part of the 'Battle of the Billionaires' at WrestleMania 23. The angle saw Trump's representative Bobby Lashley defeat Mr. McMahon's representative Umaga, resulting in McMahon having his head shaved bald.
Trump briefly 'bought' Raw in 2009 only to sell it back to McMahon for an inflated price a week later. For his efforts with WWE, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. He was joined by notable WWE names including Bruno Sammartino, Mick Foley, Booker T, and Trish Stratus.
Donald Trump has also faced accusations of misconduct by women in wrestling. Former WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres has alleged that Trump "forcefully" grabbed her during a photoshoot. Maria Kanellis-Bennett has criticized Trump for firing her from the show 'Celebrity Apprentice' for a comment she made that he found distasteful, especially in the wake of his "Grab Them By the P***y" comment in the run-up to his 2016 election victory.
