Owen Hart Cup Matches Announced For 6/19 AEW Dynamite

The Owen Hart Cup begins tomorrow as two matches were revealed for AEW Dynamite this week.

AEW President Tony Khan took to social media to reveal the first men's match and the the first women's match to take place in the tournament. Claudio Castagnoli will be taking on PAC in the opening round of the men's bracket. Fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Bryan Danielson, who also announced his involvement in the tourney, will be on commentary.

As far as the first women's match, Kris Statlander will go up against Nyla Rose. Statlander is currently embedded in a feud with Willow Nightingale as Kris attacked Willow from behind last week.

Khan also revealed that the full brackets for both tournaments would be released on Wednesday.

The stakes are pretty high particularly for the men's bracket as not only did Danielson express a desire to win the Cup, but PAC said he needed to get back on track to being a "bastard" instead of a "b*tch." PAC thought a good way for him to do that is enter himself into the tournament. As for Castagnoli, he was on a roll on the 100th episode of AEW Collision, as he was extremely expressive in his ring work, taking a little time to showboat. With these three names already involved, the outcome of the men's bracket clouds up even more.
