SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis addresses Kevin Owens’ heinous attack on Cody Rhodes
After his unforgivable attack on Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event, a defiant Kevin Owens has paraded around the WWE Championship as if it’s his own, and now Nick Aldis will address the situation. What will the SmackDown General Manager say and do when he grabs a microphone TONIGHT?

– We are live! The show kicks off with a video recapping the ongoings between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes over the course of the past several weeks. Nick Aldis then appears from his office and clarifies that although Owens has the Winged Eagle Championship, he is not the Undisputed WWE Champion. He informs Owens that he has until the end of the night to relinquish the Winged Eagle Championship unless he wants to face severe consequences.
– Michael Cole and Corey Graves then greet audiences at home as Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Bayley make their way out to the ring. Nia Jax, Candice LeRae, and Tiffany Stratton follow, with Jax accusing Belair of being the one to attack Jade Cargill on their way and demanding that she owns up to it.
Nia Jax, Candice LeRae, and Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley, Naomi, and Bianca Belair
Belair and LeRae begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth, but Stratton retreats to the outside. Bayley, Naomi, and Belair then fly out of the ring to level Jax, Stratton, and LeRae.
Back from the break, Belair fires off shoulders on Jax's midsection in the corner and rains down right hands on her. Naomi tags in and connects with a dropkick on Jax, but Jax levels her with a spinebuster and goes for a pin. Naomi kicks out, and Jax tags in LeRae. Naomi connects with a Bulldog on LeRae in the corner, then tags in Belair. Belair and Naomi land a double suplex on Naomi, and Naomi follows it up with a split legged moonsault. Belair then connects with a springboard moonsault and pins LeRae, but LeRae kicks out.
Jax tags in and hits a leg drop on Belair. He goes for a pin, but Belair kicks out. Stratton then tags in and prevents Belair from tagging out to Bayley, but Belair levels Stratton with a forearm and tags in Bayley. LeRae tags in on her side, and Bayley rocks her with a knee. Jax then tags back in.
Back from another break, LeRae and Naomi tag in. Naomi levels LeRae, then connects with a dropkick and follows it up with a second kick to her chest. She delivers a Tornado Style Bulldog and goes for a pin, but LeRae kicks out. Everyone then begins brawling with each other, and in the midst of the chaos, Stratton grabs her Money In The Bank briefcase with Jax down. She looks to cash it in, but an angered LeRae grabs it from her. Stratton and LeRae begin to argue, with Stratton telling LeRae that she wants to be champion. This then opens the door for Naomi to send LeRae crashing into the mat and pin LeRae for the win.
Winners: Bayley, Naomi, and Bianca Belair
– We then head backstage to Nick Aldis' office, where he's talking with A-Town Down Under. Sami Zayn interrupts and tells Aldis that he thinks they need to talk. He says that he thinks it's only fair that he only gets the opportunity for revenge against The Bloodline, but Carmelo Hayes walks in. Zayn confronts him about walking in on his conversation with Aldis before challenging him to a match later tonight.
– Back at ringside, Braun Strowman makes his way down. A-Town Down Under follows.
Austin Theory (w/ Grayson Waller) vs. Braun Strowman
The bell rings and Strowman shoves Theory. He levels him with a clothesline and whips him into the corner, then tosses him across the ring and dumps him to the outside.
Back from the break, Theory delivers a chop block to Strowman and goes for a pin. Strowman kicks out, sending Theory crashing out of the ring in the process. Strowman then delivers a dropkick to Theory inside the ring that sends him crashing back to the outside, then sends him crashing into Waller and charges at the two of them.
Waller ducks out of the way, and Strowman levels Theory with a clothesline as Waller retreats into the crowd. Strowman then tosses Theory back inside the ring and ascends up the ropes, but Waller reappears and pushes him off. Theory then gets Strowman up on his shoulders, but buckles under his mass. This opens the door for Strowman to deliver an over the shoulder powerslam to Theory for the win.
Winner: Braun Strowman
– Back from the break, we see Kevin Owens respond to Nick Aldis telling him that he'll meet him in the ring as long as it's just the two of them.
– Back at ringside, Piper Niven is waiting inside.
Niven introduces Green, and she makes her way out. She thanks fans and says she wants to take the time to say that she and the WWE Universe did it. She brags about being the inaugural United States Champion, then thanks herself rather than Niven for standing by her side. She tells Michin good riddance, and says she's shocked she made it as far in the Women's United States Championship Tournament as she did.
Michin's music hits and she makes her way out with a kendo stick in hand. She says if it weren't for Niven, she would've been the inaugural Women's United States Championship. She marches down to the ring, and Niven meets her on the ramp. Michin repeatedly hits with the kendo stick, then slides in the ring. Niven pulls Green out of the ring before Michin can hit her with the kendo stick.
– We then head backstage and see a brawl breakout between The Street Profits and Los Garza. Nick Aldis intervenes and makes a match between the two teams official before they make their way out to the ring.
The Street Profits (w/ B-Fab) vs. Los Garza (w/ Elektra Lopez)
Back from the break, the bell has rung and Angelo Dawkins brawls with Angel as Berto goes at it with Montez Ford. Ford levels Berto with a clothesline, then tags in Dawkins. Dawkins and Ford connect with a double flapjack on Berto, but Angel tags in and double teams on Ford with Berto. Angel wears down Dawkins with a submission, then tags Berto back in. Dawkins connects with a right hand on Berto, then tags in Ford. Ford runs over Berto with a shoulder tackle, and Dawkins helps him land a moonsault. Berto then catches Ford with a boot, then double teams on him with Angel once again.
Back from another break, Dawkins tags in and sends Berto crashing into the mat. Ford tags in and Dawkins gets Berto in an Electric Chair position as Ford ascends up the ropes, but Angelo comes to Garza's aid and Los Garza send Ford crashing into the mat off the middle rope with a double body slam. Berto follows it up with a moonsault off the top and pins Ford, but Ford kicks out.
Lopez pulls Garza out of the ring before Ford and Dawkins can level him, but B-Fab takes her down. Ford dumps Angel back inside the ring and tags in. The Street Profits then deliver the Japanese Ocean Cyclone suplex-Blockbuster combination for the win.
Winners: The Street Profits
– A video promo for Andrade plays letting us know he's after Shinsuke Nakamura.
– Pretty Deadly is approached by DIY who ask them what they're doing being witnesses. Pretty Deadly says we will scratch your back if they'll scratch theirs. DIY agrees, The Profits and B-Fab thank them for telling them about Los Garza. As they walk away, Motor City Machine Guns come by and say they're next in line for the titles. Apollo Crews walks by and tells them it was DIY who attacked the profits.
– Sami Zayn then makes his way out to the ring. Carmelo Hayes follows.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Sami Zayn
The bell rings and the two lock up. Hayes levels Zayn with a dropkick before the action spills to the outside and Zayn levels Hayes with a moonsault off the barricade.
Back from the break, Hayes connects with a springboard crossbody on Zayn and rains down right hands on him. Zayn responds with a Blue Thunder Bomb and goes for a pin, but Hayes kicks out and delivers The First 48. He sets up for Nothing But Net, but Zayn levels him with a clothesline and rains down right hands on him in the corner. Zayn follows it up with an Exploder and looks to land the Helluva Kick, but Hayes slides out of the ring before he can land it. The referee begins a ten count and Hayes retreats up the ramp, but Braun Strowman's music hits and he chases him to the back. Back in the ring, The Bloodline attacks Zayn causing the disqualification.
Winner: N/A (no contest due to interference)
– After the match, The Bloodline continues beating down Zayn before Strowman reemerges and takes down Solo Sikoa. Jacob Fatu appears behind Strowman, opening the door for Sikoa to deliver the Samoan Spike to Strowman. Zayn beats down Sikoa, but Tama Tonga holds him in place as Fatu flies off the top rope with a moonsault. Nick Aldis and other officials then run down to the ring to check on Zayn before Kevin Owens follows.
– Kevin Owens and Nick Aldis are in the ring when we return from commercial break.
Aldis says he's said everything he's needed to and asks Owens to hand him the Winged Eagle Championship. Owens asks Aldis why he would give it to him considering that it's his only bargaining chip, then demands a rematch against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship making it clear that it's the only way that he'll get it back. Aldis tells Owens that he will never step foot in a WWE ring again if he doesn't hand over the Winged Eagle Championship.
Rhodes' music hits and he makes his way out. Aldis tells Rhodes to walk away, but Rhodes says he won't be doing that. He tells Aldis that he doesn't want Owens to hand over the Winged Eagle Championship, then says when he met Owens, he was young and hungry looking to climb the ladder. He says back then, he did what he did for himself but now he does it for his family, the fans, his friends, and the people who believed in him. He says the Winged Eagle Championship was meant to be something special for the fans, but it's now time for him to take it back. He says he and Owens are no longer friends, then reiterates that he wants a match against Owens where the referee can't stop him.
Rhodes proposes that he and Owens unify the Undisputed WWE Championship and Winged Eagle Championship in a Ladder Match, and Aldis reluctantly makes it official for WWE Royal Rumble. Owens says that sounds great to him and offers his hand to Rhodes, but Rhodes refuses to shake it. Owens then pushes Aldis into Rhodes and stomps on his neck, then heads to the back holding up the Winged Eagle Championship as officials check on Rhodes and the show goes off the air.
