CM Punk goes to war against Seth Rollins in a Steel Cage Match at Madison Square Garden
An explosive new chapter in the bitter rivalry between CM Punk and Seth Rollins is about to go down inside a steel cage. At WWE Elimination Chamber, the already eliminated Rollins caused Punk to lose to John Cena and eviscerated The Second City Saint's opportunity to headline WrestleMania. The following night on Raw, the two engaged in an out-of-control brawl in the arena and backstage, leaving General Manager Adam Pearce no choice but to announce a Steel Cage Match to contain the bedlam.

– RAW opens with clips of Cody Rhodes arriving at the arena. Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk arriving to RAW.
– Michael Cole and Pat McAfee greet audiences at home as Jey Uso makes his way down to the ring. A-Town Down Under follows.
Jey Uso vs. Grayson Waller
The bell rings and the two lock up. Waller runs over Jey with a shoulder tackle, but Jey levels Waller with a back elbow and follows it up with a bodyslam. Waller rains down right hands on Jey, then whips him into the corner and charges at him. Waller moves out of the way, but Jey clotheslines him out of the ring and connects with a tope suicida to level him.
Waller rains down Hammer and Anvil elbows on Jey back in the ring, then jams his knee into the back of his neck and rains down right hands on him in the corner. Waller levels Jey with a jumping knee, then wears him down with a submission and fires off right hands on the back of his neck. He goes for a pin, but Jey kicks out.
Waller connects with an elbow drop off the middle rope and pis Jey, but Jey kicks out. Jey and Waller exchange right hands with one another, but Jey levels Waller with one and follows it up with a kick. He then delivers an open palm strike and Samoan Drop to Waller before connecting with a Hip Attack and ascending to the top. Waller rolls out of the way and gets Jey up on his shoulders, but Jey sends Waller crashing out of the ring. Waller intercepts Jey with a Stunner off the middle rope and follows it up with a rolling flatliner back in the ring, then goes for a pin but Jey kicks out.
Waller fires off more right hands on Jey, but Jey levels Waller with a superkick and delivers one to Theory as he stands on the apron. He then runs the ropes and levels Waller with a spear for the win.
Winner: Jey Uso
– After the match, Theory blindsides Jey from behind and rains down right hands on him. Waller joins Theory, and the two beat down Jey. Jey sends Waller crashing over the top rope and runs the ropes, then connects with a spear on Theory and follows it up with an Uso Splash. GUNTHER sneaks up on Jey and locks in a Sleeper on him until Jey fades.
– Seth Rollins and CM Punk are shown stretching and getting prepared for the steel cage match later.
– Jey Uso is being iced backstage in the medical room, Alpha Academy comes up to him to check up on him to make sure he is okay. He says he is, Akira Tozawa, Otis and Maxxine Dupri leave him to tend to him wounds.
Paul says AJ Styles was supposed to be here, but he thought he'd beat him to it. He says when you hear his name, you think of names like The Rock and John Cena who have conquered the world of WWE and Hollywood, and do anything to get to the top. He tells The Rock to consider his soul for sale, then says he's the celebrity and takes note of Andrew Schulz in the crowd.
Paul demands that Schulz be given a mic and asks him who he came to see. Schulz says that he came to see the Steel Cage match between Seth "Freakin" Rollins and CM Punk, and Paul once again asks him who he came to see. Schulz says he came to see AJ Styles, prompting Paul to attack Schulz. Styles' music hits and he runs down to the ring to come to Schulz's aid.
Paul retreats up the ramp, but Styles stops him and tells him to get back inside the ring. Paul ultimately opts against doing so.
– We are taken back to last week's RAW where we are shown highlights from the Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky match.
– New Day then makes their way down to the ring. LWO follows, and we see NXT Champion Oba Femi in the crowd.
Tornado Tag Team Match: LWO vs. The New Day
The bell rings and Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee go after Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. LWO whips New Day into opposite corners and rain down right hands on them, then send them crashing into the mat. Rey delivers a kick to Woods on the outside and sends him crashing into the announce desk spine first, then sends him crashing into the ring post as Lee wears down Kingston. LWO grab a table from under the ring, but Kingston and Woods stop them.
Rey is sent crashing into the ring post, and Lee is sent crashing into one of the barricades. New Day puts the table back under the ring, and Woods is whipped into the barricade. Rey dumps Kingston back in the ring, and LWO grabs the table once again. They set it up on the outside, but Kingston and Woods send Rey crashing into the ring steps. Lee looks to fly off the other set of ring steps, but New Day intercepts him and sends him crashing into the mat.
Woods whips Rey into one of the barricades, and Kingston sends Lee crashing on top of the announce desk. Kingston then delivers an uppercut to Lee, and Woods lands a delayed vertical suplex to him back inside the ring. Kingston connects with a kick on his face as Woods jams his boot into Rey and sends him crashing out of the ring under the bottom rope.
Kingston and Lee teeter on the ropes, but Rey trips Kingston. Rey then delivers a hurricanrana to Woods off the ropes and Lee delivers a double stomp to Kingston as he's draped off the top rope by his knees. Rey dials it up for a 619 on Kingston and looks to land a splash on him, but Kingston intercepts Ry and rolls him up. Lee breaks the fall and levels Kingston with a superkick, then clotheslines him out of the ring and flies to level him.
A man wearing an American themed Lucha mask appears out nowhere and takes down Lee with a hurricanrana. He sends Rey crashing into the ring apron and delivers a delayed vertical suplex, then hits Chad Gable's signature pose and runs through the crowd to avoid security. Back in the ring, Kingston gets Rey in a backbreaker position and Woods delivers a double stomp off the top. Woods then pins Rey for the win as Kingston holds them in place.
Winners: The New Day
– Finn Balor is backstage discussing how much he dislikes Bron Breakker. The rest of the Judgement Day comes in. Dominik Mysterio tells Balor he got Balor an IC match against Breakker next week and all Balor has to do is sign the contract.
– Cody Rhodes then makes his way down to the ring.
Rhodes asks New York City what they want to talk about, then says they could talk about why he's here. He says he's here in the home base of WWE at Madison Square Garden, then addresses John Cena. He says Cena isn't here tonight having told his inner circle of The Rock and Travis Scott that he will be on "Raw" next week. He recalls Cena saying on his X "have the discipline to do what needs to be done", then says Cena is like a coach who keeps calling the plays from the sidelines.
Rhodes says no one defines the business better than Cena, but the business has changed and Cena becoming a 17 time World Champion is a fantasy of his. He says he will have the heartbreaking privilege of beating Cena at WrestleMania 41, then says he's the captain now.
– Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio are shown walking backstage.
Bayley vs. Raquel Rodriguez
The bell rings and Rodriguez goes back and forth with Bayley. Rodriguez runs Bayley over with a shoulder tackle, then levels her with a pair of shoulder blocks. Rodriguez steps over Bayley and delivers a corkscrew elbow to her, but Bayley fires off shoulders on Rodriguez's midsection. Rodriguez runs over Bayley with a clothesline, but Bayley delivers a knee and a clothesline to Rodriguez. She follows it up with an elbow drop and goes for a pin.
Rodriguez kicks out, but Bayley sends her crashing into the corner and follows it up with a back suplex. She dumps Rodriguez out of the ring, then lands a dropkick to her through the middle rope. Rodriguez rocks Bayley with a forearm on the outside and looks to send her crashing into the ring post, but Bayley reverses the momentum and sends Rodriguez crashing into it instead. Dominik hops up on the apron to distract the referee, but Morgan grabs Bayley's ankle as she runs the ropes.
Bayley fights off Morgan, but Rodriguez takes advantage and sends Bayley crashing on top of the announce desk. She delivers a big boot to her back in the ring and follows it up with a Texana Bomb for the win.
Winner: Raquel Rodriguez
– We then head backstage to Cathy Kelley and Chad Gable, where Gable denies being the person from earlier tonight dressed in a black hoodie and an American themed Luchador mask. Security walks past Kelley and Gable, escorting another person out of Madison Square Garden dressed in an American themed Luchador mask.
– Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai bump fists and Sky starts walking to ringside.
Michael Cole introduces SKY, and she makes her way down to the ring. He congratulates SKY on winning the Women's World Championship last week and asks her how she feels heading into WrestleMania 41, then says it's a dream to be in Madison Square Garden as Women's World Championship. She says she proved that the impossible is possible, then says she's over the moon about being the titleholder and walking into WrestleMania as such.
Cole then introduces Bianca Belair, and she makes her way out. She congratulates SKY on her win last week and says she's looking forward to facing SKY at WrestleMania despite their differences. Cole asks Belair about Rhea Ripley, but Belair redirects and says she's had enough drama for a week and wants to focus on WrestleMania.
Ripley storms down to the ring and asks Belair why she was at ringside. Belair says it was because she won the 2025 Women's Elimination Chamber, but Ripley asks her why she was at ringside again questioning if it was to help SKY win. Belair says Ripley's attitude is a defense mechanism because she knows that she can't beat SKY.
SKY looks to intervene, but Belair shoves her out of the way. Belair and Ripley continue arguing and Belair slaps SKY again. SKY intervenes once again, slapping both Ripley and Belair before she storms to the back angry about her spotlight as Women's World Champion being taken away by the confrontation between Ripley and Belair.
– Seth Rollins and CM Punk are shown walking backstage ahead of their match and Rollins makes his way out to the ring.
– Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer are shown sitting in the audience.
Steel Cage Match: Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk
The bell rings and Rollins and Punk waste no time. They fire off right hands on one another, but Rollins sends Punk crashing into the side of the cage. He powerbombs him into it, then sends him crashing into it once again spine first. Rollins jams Punk's head into the side of the cage and looks to land a hurricanrana on Punk, but Punk sends Rollins into the side of the cage head first and follows it up with a GTS.
Punk delivers a jumping knee to Rollins as he's tangled up in the ropes, then drags his face along the side of the cage and invites him to exit the door of the Steel Cage as a means of taking the cowardly way to win the match. Rollins opts not to do so, and Punk continues wearing him with a series of elbow drops to his chest. He delivers three more elbow drops to Rollins off the ropes, then goes for a pin but Rollins kicks out.
Punk and Rollins teeter on top of the cage, but Punk knocks Rollins off it. Rollins hangs on and lands on the top rope, then delivers a superplex to Punk as he's draped on the top of the cage. Rollins pins Punk, but Punk manages to kick out.
Punk and Rollins fire off strikes on one another, but Punk delivers a GTS to Rollins and goes for a pin. Rollins kicks out, but Punk looks to land a second GTS on him. Rollins transitions into an STF, but Punk reverses into an Anaconda Vice.
Rollins escapes and delivers a Curb Stomp to Punk, then goes for a pin but Punk kicks out. Punk lands another GTS on Rollins and pins him, but Rollins kicks out. Punk looks to exit the door of the cage, but Rollins goads him into staying inside. Punk delivers a Shining Wizard to Rollins, then sets up for a GTS. Rollins escapes and delivers a GTS of his own to Punk. He follows it up with a Curb Stomp and pins Punk, but Punk kicks out. Roman Reigns then appears out of nowhere, dragging Rollins out of the cage to help him win in the manner that he didn't want to.
Winner: Seth "Freakin" Rollins
– After the match, Reigns hits a superman punch and spears Rollins. Rollins is thrown into the barricades and then Reigns delivers a curb stomp to Rollins. Reigns places Rollins' head on the steel steps and Adam Pearce and the officials run down and stop Reigns. Reigns then locks his eyes on Punk in the ring being attended to by Paul Heyman. Reigns runs into the ring and throws Punk into the steel cage and then spears him as Heyman stands in the corner praying to Roman Reigns and the show goes off the air.
