Trick Williams vs. Je’Von Evans clash in NXT Title No. 1 Contenders Match
The No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship will be decided when Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans meet in the ring. The TNA World Champion and The Young OG are both determined to dethrone the dominant Oba Femi, even taking their war of words to Monday Night Raw on Aug. 18. Will Williams move one step closer to becoming a double champion, or will Evans earn a championship opportunity?

Briggs and Inamura fight in the back before their match starts.
Philadelphia Street Fight
Yoshiki Inamura vs. Josh Briggs
The referee starts the match and Briggs goes into the ring steps when Inamura moves. Inamura drop kicks Briggs on the floor. Inamura with a flying shoulder tackle off the stage and then he chops Briggs. Inamura with a waist lock and Briggs with a back elbow. Josh Irish whips Inamura into the stage. Briggs with a suplex on the floor. Josh sends Inamura onto the stage and they maake their way back into the ring. Josh goes under the ring and he gets a chair and tosses them at Inamura and he connects three times. Josh kicks Inamura in the head and he puts a chair into the turnbuckles. Josh hits Inamura in the back with the chair. Josh puts another chair in the turnbuckles. Inamura with a forearm and Josh fires back. Inamura with a chop and Josh with a kick to the leg.
They exchange forearms and Josh with a boot to the head. Josh with a side slam onto the chair. Josh misses a splash and lands on the chair. Inamura Irish whips Josh into a chair in the turnbuckles and he takes care of the second one. Inamura with a slam onto the chair and he gets a near fall. Inamura gets a kendo stick but he puts it down to grab a baseball bat. Josh throws the chair at Inamura's knee to release the chair and Josh with a Phillies Phanatic Russian leg sweep. Josh stomps on the bat. Inamura avoids being sent into the turnbuckles and Josh is sent into the chair in the turnbuckles. Inamura with kicks to Josh.
Inamura with chops and he sets for a suplex and he hits it. Inamura gets a near fall. Inamura tosses a trash can into the ring and hits Josh with it. Josh with an atomic drop onto the trash can followed by a boot. Josh goes under the ring and he tosses more chairs into the ring because he won't give them tables. Josh gets a guardrail from under the ring. Josh bridges the guardrails onto a set of chairs. Josh with a punch to Inamura on the apron and he sets for a superplex onto the guardrail and he hits it. Josh goes under the ring and he throws something into the ring. Josh gets a kendo stick or two and he throws one at Inamura. Josh tapes Inamura's arms to the rope. Josh has the kendo stick and he hits Inamura in the back with it. He hits Inamura again. Josh with a third kendo stick shot to the back.
Josh hits him again and Inamura pulls himself off the ropes. Josh begs for mercy and Inamura chops a kendo stick and knocks it away. Inamura with chops to Josh all over the body. Inamura with palm strikes to Josh in the corner followed by chops and punches. Inamura with another chop and Josh is down. Inamura puts the trash can over Josh's head and he punches the trash can and chops it as well. Inamura gets the baseball bat and he swings for the fences and Josh is down. Inamura with a uranage onto the trash can. Inamrua gets a table from under the ring while Josh is bleeding. Josh wraps a chain around his hand while Inamura sets up the table. Inamura with a forearm to get Josh on the table.
Inamura goes up top for the springing frog splash but Josh recovers and hits Inamura with chain. Inamura gets Josh on the table again and he hits the springing frog splash but Josh kicks out at two. Inamura gets another table and sets it up. Inamura gets one more table. They play tug of war with the other table and Josh pushes it into Inamura's nether regions. Josh with a clothesline using the chaiin and he puts Inamrua on the table. Josh wiht a moonsault for the three count.

We take a look at Ava making Masha Slamovich the guest referee for the six woman tag match.
As Ricky Saints makes his way to the ring, Josh Briggs bumps into him as Josh goes to the back.

Backstage:
We are back and Sarah is with Trick Williams and she asks him about his match against Je'Von Evans. Trick says he loves himself some him. He did what he was supposed to do, he beat Moose down. Je'Von must be stupid if he thinks he can win. You flip and fly. You like to bounce but I will bounce you back to high school. Trick says he will see Oba at Heatwave and become three time champion. Trick says let's talk about it.
Jasper Troy vs. Ricky Saints
Ricky with an enzuigiri and punches but Troy picks up Ricky and Saints with a rear naked choke. Troy drops to a knee. Troy backs Saints into the turnbuckles but Saints holds on. Troy gets Saints off his back but Saints climbs back on and he backs Saints into the turnbuckles. Saints with a kick from the apron and he goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Troy kicks Saints off the ropes when Ricky goes for a springboard move. Troy goes to the floor and he head butts Saints. Troy sends Saints into the apron a few times. They return to the ring and Troy kicks Saints. Troy chokes Saints in the ropes and the referee warns Troy. Troy with a slam and splash. Troy with a leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Troy stands on Saints' back.
Saints with punches to Troy. Troy with a knee and forearm to the back. Troy with an Irish whip that sends Saints sternum first into the turnbuckles. Troy chokes Saints and then Troy argues with the referee. Troy with an abdominal stretch. Saints with an elbow to escape. Troy with a knee and he returns to the abdominal stretch. Troy with punches to Saints and Saints with kicks to the leg. Troy with a running body block. Troy misses an elbow drop and Saints with a kick and chops. Saints with punches but Troy with a punch to stop Saints. Saints goes for a Fujiwara arm bar. Troy avoids a side slam and Saints with a Samoan drop. Saints goes up top and he goes for a moonsault but Troy moves and Saints lands on his feet. Troy runs Saints into the turnbuckles a few times and connects with shoulders.
Troy runs into a boot and then he goes shoulder first into the ring post when Saints moves. Troy catches Saints on a plancha and Troy sends Saints into the ring steps. Troy puts Saints on a part of the steps and Saints moves when Troy goes for a back senton onto the steps. Saints with a tornado DDT onto the stage. Troy is up first and they return to the ring. Saints with a tornado DDT and he gets the three count.

Hank and Tank want to know who they face on Sunday. The concierge interrupts and he wants to introduce Ava to all of the Elegances. He does not want Masha Slamovich to be referee since she has no experience. Ava says Masha is the referee tonight and since her name is said, she enters. Masha leaves and the Concierge says Masha is biased.
Jordynne Grace walks in the back.

Jordynne Grace makes her way to the ring.
Grace says she came to NXT after traveling the world and she had been in hundreds of locker rooms building her reputation. She thought she would win championships but that has not happened. She knows she has weaknesses and that they would hold her back but she did not expect a friendship to hold her back. She has watched wrestling and has done it for 15 years and knows how these wrestling friendships pan out. Being in WWE and the adjustment has been really hard. She never had anyone try to exploit her insecurities and make her address them publicly. She was angry at first but she has one goal and objective. She does not have to prove she is better than Blake or to get revenge. She says she will hold the mirror up to Blake ...
Blake Monroe comes out holding a contract and with security. Monroe makes her way to the ring with her security.
Monroe says as much as everyone would love to see you get your redemption, she doesn't want that to happen. There is no redemption for the truth. That is why she had a contract drawn up. If you lay one finger on me, the match at Heatwave is off. She does not have to feel sorry for her because Grace already feels sorry for herself.
Grace says Blake is wrong. You were at Evolution, but where were you? You were standing ringside while Jordynne was in the ring wrestling. You are jealous of her. It must have been a reality check that you didn't like. You are a disgusting snake.
Blake says Jordynne cannot control herself or handle the pressure. You aren't just an outsider, you are a reject playing a Superstar. Now that she has arrived, there is not room for the both of them. Who is more pathetic than Jordynne Grace?
Grace gets cranky and Monroe goes behind her security. Monroe tells Jordynne to do it so the match is off. Grace says she does not have to touch Blake to show what is going to happen. Grcae attacks all the security and then she takes the mic and says she will show Blake what ugly really looks like.
Backstage:
Fatal Influence are in the back and Jacy wants to know who the Elegance are. Lainey Reid shows up and she tells Jacy to show why she is the double champ. Zaria and Sol Ruca show up and Jacy asks if they are going to do another Tik Tok. Sol tells Jacy to take photos as double champ. Lainey returns and tells Sol that at least Jacy defends both titles.

Backstage:
Sarah is with Je'Von Evans and she asks about his match against Trick Williams. Evans says he is not surprised Trick abandoned him last week. He says Trick is goofy and Trick knows that Evans has his number. To be a champion, he has to feel like a champion. To get to Oba, he has to get past Trick. Evans says Trick has it locked in and trying to do so much, but Evans says he just wants to be champion.

TNA's Masha Slamovich is the special guest referee.
M and Fallon start things off and they lock up. M with a forearm and she poses. Fallon wit a chop but M blocks a kick. Fallon with a body scissors take down and she gets a near fall. Fallon with an Irish whip and elbow into the corner. Nyx ags in and she kicks M. Nyx with a springboard kick for a near fall. M misses a clothesline and Nyx with a drop kick. M with a back heel kick and a knee lift. Heather tags in and she goes up top and gets on M's shoulders and M drops Heather onto Nyx for a near fall. Ash tags in and she goes for a Glam Slam but Nyx with a rollup for a near fall. Nyx escapes a slam and Jacy tags in. Ash pushes Jacy and Jacy pushes back. Ash with a rollup for a near fall. Jacy with a rollup and she gets a near fall. Ash gets a near fall. Jacy with an Irish whip and Jacy with a hip into the corner. Fallon tags in and hits a sliding clothesline for a near fall.
Fallon sends Ash into the turnbuckles and Fallon with a chop. Ash misses a clothesline and the Concierge grabs Fallon's leg.
Masha sends him to the back.
Ash gets a near fall on Fallon. Ash with forearms to the back of the head. Ash sends Fallon into the turnbuckles and M tags in. M sends Fallon into the turnbuckles She rends Fallon into the turnbuckles again. M with a bicycle kick in the corner for a near fall. M with a snap mare and she stretches Fallon. Fallon with a forearm and rollup for a near fall. M with a clothesline. Heather tags in and she gives Fallon a drop toe hold. Fallon with a forearm and Heather stomps on the hands and follows with a DDT for a near fall. Heather chokes Fallon in the ropes. Ash with a kick while Masha deals with Heather. Ash tags in and she kicks Fallon in the corner.
M tags in and she kicks Fallon. Ash tags in and she snap mares Fallon and applies a reverse chin lock. Fallon with elbows and an arm drag. Ash sends Fallon into the turnbuckles and Fallon with forearms. Ash with a knee and Ash with an Irish whip and a handspring back elbow into the corner. M and Heather with sliding boots on the apron and Heather gets a near fall. Heather misses a double jump moonsault when Fallon moves. M and Jacy tag in and Jacy with clotheslines followed by a neck breaker to Ash. Jacy sends Heather into M and hits a super kick. Jacy with a cannonball to M and she hits a senton off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Fallon tags in and so does Nyx. Fallon and Nyx with a double flapjack and double Natural Selection. Jacy with a knee for a near fall.
Ash knocks Jacy and Fallon off the apron. M with a super kick and Heather tags in. Ash tags in and M with a bow and arrow followed by a double stomp from Heather. Ash with Meteora for a near fall. We get everyone involved and Fallon runs M onto the announce table. Ash with a swanton to Nxy but Nyx is able to kick out because of the time it took for Masha to gocus. Jacy with a roaring elbow for the three count.

Charlie Dempsey says that Kendal was impressive last week and he gives her some advice. Kendal points out that she has an amateur background. The Culling shows up and they point out there are only two left. Charlie says Wren can take care of both of them.

We are back and the Canadian contingency makes its way to the ring with their European security, Alba Fyre and Piper Niven.
Ethan makes sure that there will be no tables used during the meeting.
Out next is the American contingency of Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele.
Ethan says as a Canadian, he takes great pride that Chelsea and he are here for a diplomatic discussion. They will be voicing their opinions and squashing their beef.
Ethan says Tavion is doing a great job. He says Tavion is becoming a solo star. He says he has seen Tavion become a weapon in human form. Ethan says his issues is the way Tavion looks at him. You don't see a 19 year veteran and a world class athlete. You don't see the greatest North American to hold the North American champion. You see opportunity. You are getting a big head and biting off more than you can chew because you are new to this industry. You are an Olympian. In professional wrestling, we don't celebrate losers. There is no second or third place. When you lose, you go home empty handed. There is no second and third, there is only gold.
Tavion says he is so used to sitting across from seasoned veterans. He knows hearing people saying he doesn't belong. Do you think he is foolish for having his eyes on the title. You are foolish for thinking he cannot do it. Do you think he isn't hungry for that title?
Green tells Tavion he doesn't need to get spicy. Chelsea says she is distracted by the love she is feeling. You don't have to be disrespectful to the greatest North American champion. You are an American and you are rude. She says they are here to peacefully represent their country. Chelsea says they have the superior nation and superior athletes.
Tyra says that she is sick of Chelsea's bloviating. We are in American and in Philadelphia. We speak our minds. She tells Chelsea to shut up.
Chelsea is in shock at what Tyra said. How dare you call her that?
Tyra says she is the first ever Olympic Gold Medalist from the 2020 Olympics. She is not a so called Olympian.
Green says she is the first ever Women's US Champion.
Tyra tells Chelsea that her medal represents she is the best and that she can take Green down any time. She says Alba and Piper know what Tyra means.
Tavion wants to know about all of that Maple Spirit. It won't happen in Philadelphia where they know how to throw down. This city will not let you forget and Tavion says neither will Ethan.
Ethan says Tavion wants to go straight to violence.
Ava comes out and she says this isn't giving peace. She says on Sunday, there will be a mixed tag match.
Ethan punches Tavion and Green punches Steele.
Tavion and Steele block kicks and they apply ankle locks.
Piper and Alba pulls Chelsea and Ethan to safety.
Backstage:
Myles asks Ricky about what is going on with Josh Briggs. He says he needs to get to the bottom of this. Lexis King shows up and he wants to apologize to Myles. He says he was wrong and it takes a man to admit when he is wrong. He says he delfected his issues onto Myles. He says he didn't think Myles could do this while deaf and blind. Myles says he is not blind. Lexis sprays something in Myles' eyes and he says that now Myles is blind.

We are back and Kelani says not to take it personal when she beats her at Heatwave. Lola asks Kelani what she did last weekend and Lola points out she wrestled in front of 19,000 people. Lash Legend shows up and she says Jaida doesn't deserve to be in this match. Lash says neither of them could go toe to toe with Nia Jax.Kelani says it is more like ass to chest. Lash says she is the biggest threat to the title.Kelani says she is winning, but Lola says she is winning.
Backstage:
Dark State stops Ava to talk about their win last week. Ava says she was impressed but she wants to talk about what happened after the match.Saquon says everyone is talking about them Joe Hendry appears ot of a cabinet because his name was mentioned. Joe wants to know who will be wrestling for the tag titles and Dark State says that he will find out when everyone else does.
Vic, Booker, and Corey run through the card for Heatwave.
We see Oba Femi watching from one of the boxes.

Evans with a thrust kick and a slingshot head scissors for a near fall. Evans with chops around the ring. Trick with a double thrust to the throat followed by a chop. Trick with another chop. Trick misses a Booker chop and Evans with chops and a jab to Trick. Evans misses a kick and Trick with a flying clothesline. Trick with punches to Evans. Trick with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Trick with a neck breaker. Trick gets a near fall. Trick with a cravate. Evans with punches but Trick with a forearm.
Trick with an Irish whip but Evans slides to the apron and he kicks Trick and hits a springboard clothesline. Evans clotheslines Trick over the top rope to the floor. Evans with a plancha onto Trick. Evans sends Trick back into the ring. Trick stops Evans from doing a springboard move and Trick pushes Evans off the ropes onto the back edge of the announce table. The referee checks on Evans. Trick stares at Oba in his box. Trick poses on the turnbuckles and the referee returns to the ring to start his count. Evans starts to move and he makes his way to the ring and Evans does the return at nine. Trick with a punch. Trick iwth a punch to the jaw. Trick picks up Evans again and Evans collapses to the mat. Trick with a guillotine. Evans with punches and Trick chokes Evans and puts him on the turnbuckles. Trick with a chop.
Evans punches Trick and he kicks Trick. Trick with a press slam and Trick goes Babe Ruth in the 1932 World Series to Oba. Trick punches Evans. Trick with a flapjack and he looks at his hand. Trick pie faces Evans a few times. Evans with punches but they have little effect. Evans with more punches but Trick with a back fist. Evans with punches to Trick.while Trick misses. Evans with punches in the corner and the referee warns him. Evans with a punch that sends Trick to the floor. Evans with a suicide dive. They return to the ring and Evans with a German suplex. Evans goes up top and he hits a frog splash for a near fall. Evans with a rebound round kick and Evans gets a near fall. Trick does a handstand to avoid a springboard cutter. Trick with a pop up punch. Trick runs into a super kick and Trick responds with a uranage. Evans with a rollup for a near fall. Trick iwth a cyclone kick and he picks up Evans and he hits a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.
Trick sets for a running knee and Evans sees Mike Santana in Oba's box. Evans with a cutter and a double jump cutter for the three count.
