Nicole Kidman files for divorce from Keith Urban
After 19 years of marriage, Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from Keith Urban a day after their split was revealed. Court documents show Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” for the break-up but the pair will make decision jointly for their two children, Rose 17 and Faith Margaret 15, who are understood to be living with their mother at the family home in Nashville, while Urban had found alternative accommodation nearby.
According to sources close to Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, their hectic work schedules, the country singer is on tour, and the actor has had back-to-back filming commitments, resulting in a “lack of intimacy” which ultimately fueled the shock break-up.
A source said, “The intimacy isn’t there, they are just going through the motions of being married. If this separation gets them back together, that would be amazing, but Keith had to call her out that he isn’t happy,”
A source close to the pair also told the publication that their marital woes “really hasn’t been a secret” to their inner circle.
It has also been rumored that Urban has been seeing another woman. No word whether this was the cause of the break up months ago or it happened while they were separated.
