- This special 30 minute edition of iMPACT! opens inside the Impact Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.
- We see Christian Cage counting down the New Year as pyro goes off behind him. Don West welcomes us to the show and mentions that America's Most Wanted will defend the NWA World Tag Team Titles against AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels tonight.
- Mike Tenay is in the ring with Christian Cage. He mentions that there is a party atmosphere inside the Impact Zone as confetti falls on the crowd. Tenay also mentions how this is the first iMPACT! of 2006 and said this is the moment every TNA fan has been waiting for. He said TNA management promised that the face of TNA would change in 2006. Tenay introduced the newest member to the TNA roster...a man called STING. The crowd cheers loudly. Christian Cage gets on the mic and said that is huge. He said it isn't like him to one-up somebody, but he is going to do it. Christian said the main event for Final Resolution has been signed. It will be Jeff Jarrett & Monty Brown vs. Christian Cage and...Sting. Jeff Jarrett's music hits and he makes his way out onto the heel ramp. Jarrett gets on the mic and says it looks like the battle lines have been drawn and that the main event has been set for January 15. He said the war will be won because he will be victorious with The Alpha Male. Jarrett said as far as tonight goes, he said he notices how Christian likes to throw out little pop culture references and get the fans to jump on the Captain Charisma bandwagon. He said the only reason Christian does that is because he knows he will never climb to the top of the mountain because he doesn't have what it takes to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett said that is how he rolls. Christian congratulates Jarrett for showing he had some life. He said he noticed Jarrett isn't coming out wearing his famous white pants and that between here and the backstage area, he decided to grow a pair of nuts. Christian said he is sick and tired of verbally abusing Jarrett. He said he wants to take advantage of his first New Year's Resolution in physically abusing Jarrett. Christian calls Jarrett "Slapnuts" and Jarrett runs down the ramp and hits the ring.
Christian and Jarrett start trading blows. Jarrett attempts The Stroke, Christian counters and attempts The Unprettier. Monty Brown hits the ring and starts attacking Christian. Rhino hits the ring and he goes after Jarrett. America's Most Wanted both hit the ring. Chris Harris helps Monty Brown take out Christian, while James Storm helps Jarrett take out Rhino. Team 3D then hit the ring and they even up the odds as we go to our first commercial break.

NWA World Tag Team Championship Match
America's Most Wanted (c's) w/ Gail Kim vs. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels
The match starts with James Storm and Christopher Daniels. The crowd starts up a pro-Daniels chant. Storm gets in a kick to the gut on Daniels and gets in a forearm to the back. Storm takes down Daniels with a quick clothesline, picks up Daniels and nails him with a hard right. Daniels flips past Storm after coming off the ropes, hits a quick arm drag followed by a jumping sidekick to the face. Harris hits the ring and takes out Daniels. AJ Styles hits the ring and takes out Harris with a dropkick, kick to the leg, but Harris fights back with an atomic drop. Styles then comes back with a dropkick to Harris. Harris slides to the outside while Styles and Daniels give Harris a double-hip toss. Styles and Daniels clothesline Storm over the top rope to the outside as we take a commercial break.

- A promo for Final Resolution on January 15 airs.
We are back and Styles gets the tag. Both Styles and Daniels kick Storm in the corner a few times. Styles works on Storm a bit and tags Daniels back in. Styles and Daniels hit a double-suplex on Storm. Daniels covers Storm, but only gets a two count. Daniels gives Storm a quick scoop slam followed by a springboard moonsault off the ropes that results in a two count. Daniels nails Storm with a few rights. Storm attempts a charge in the corner, Daniels moves, but Harris clotheslines Daniels from the ring apron. Harris gets the tag and he throws Daniels through the ropes to the outside. Gail Kim gets in a few shots on Daniels when Styles comes by to stop him from doing anything more. The referee tells Styles to move. While this takes place, Storm comes out and starts beating down Daniels. Storm starts to choke Daniels while Harris keeps Styles distracted. Storm throws Daniels back in the ring, Harris hooks the leg, but only gets a two count. Harris picks up Daniels, gets him up in a vertical suplex and comes back down hard on the mat. Harris covers Daniels, but Daniels only gets a two count. The crowd starts a "PUSSYCAT" chant at Harris and Harris tells them to shut up. Daniels fights back with a few shots to the gut, but Harris rakes the eyes of Daniels. Styles tries to come in, but the referee holds them back. With the referee distracted, AMW double-team Daniels in the corner. Storm comes in and low blows Daniels with a big boot. Storm taunts at Styles as we go to another commercial break.
===COMMERCIAL BREAK===
We are back and Storm is working on Daniels. Daniels attempts a comeback working on the mid-section of Storm. Storm blocks a few shots, but Daniels comes back with a quick death valley driver! Both men are down. Daniels starts crawling towards Styles, while Storm crawls towards Harris. Harris and Styles get the tag. Styles takes out Harris with a flying forearm off the top rope. Styles takes out Storm and then puts Harris on his shoulders in a torture rack. Styles then flips Harris in the air and comes back down in a slam, covering Harris. Storm breaks up the pinfall and goes after Styles with some right hands. Styles comes back with some elbows. Storm then drops Styles face first off the to prope. Daniels throws Harris to the outside. Storm then uses the top rope and leaps over the top trying to take out Daniels. Daniels moves out of the way and picks up both Harris and Storm. Styles goes off the ropes in the ring, leaps over the top rope, Daniels moves and Styles takes out both members of AMW. The crowd chants "TNA" loudly as Daniels picks up Storm and Styles throws Harris back in the ring. When Harris gets up in the ring, Styles takes him out with a springboard dropkick. Styles attempts a body splash in the corner, but Harris catches Styles and hits the Catatonic. Harris covers Styles...1...2...Daniels comes in to break the pinfall. Harris attempts a jumping clothesline on Daniels, but Daniels moves and Harris takes out the referee. Daniels hits a modifed press slam on Harris. Daniels attempts the BME (Best Moonsault Ever), but Harris moves and Daniels lands on his feet. When Daniels lands on his feet, Storm takes him out with a huge superkick. Storm attempts another superkick on Styles, but Styles dodges it and rolls up Storm. Styles breaks the roll-up attempt and changes it into a Styles Clash! Styles rolls Storm over, but the referee is knocked out. "The Prince of Punk" Shannon Moore hits the ring and gives Styles a quick back supex. When Styles gets to his feet, Moore takes him out with a Blockbuster off the top. Moore leaves the ring and Storm covers Styles for the pinfall.
Winners & STILL NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted
After the match, Shannon Moore walks up the ramp staring down the ring as we see Chris Harris celebrate with one of the NWA World Tag Team Titles in his hands. Tenay wishes everyone a Happy New Year from TNA.
- A video package runs to end the show highlighting events in TNA involving the former 4 Live Kru, Jeff Jarrett & Christian Cage, the "new war" between Jarrett and TNA management, Shannon Moore's arrival to TNA, Jackie Gayda confronting Jarrett and the coming arrival of Sting to TNA.
