Andrade El Idolo: Charlotte & I Will Carry On Ric Flair's Legacy
The legacy of Ric Flair will live on thanks to his daughter Charlotte Flair and his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo, according to the AEW star.
Ric Flair competed in his final ever match (to date) last year, teaming with El Idolo to defeat Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. In the years since he was a full-time wrestler, Flair has appeared often on WWE programming, almost always at the side of his daughter Charlotte. The pair briefly were on opposing sides in early 2021, when Charlotte was feuding with Lacey Evans. Their feud ended abruptly when Lacey became pregnant, though Ric was not the father.
After months off of TV, Andrade El Idolo has returned to action in AEW as part of the recently relaunched AEW Collision. During the second episode of Collision, the former NXT Champion defeated Brody King by disqualification after Buddy Matthews interfered. Matthews had lost to Andrade during the debut episode of AEW Collision.
Taking to Twitter after the match, Ric Flair once again heaped praise on his son-in-law, saying that Andrade 'killed it' for the second week in a row. In response, El Idolo said that he and Charlotte will leave a good legacy of Ric Flair, adding that the Nature Boy left the husband and wife an important commitment.
After Andrade's victory on the premiere episode of AEW Collision, Ric Flair praised his son-in-law's work, saying it was the best match he's seen in a year that didn't involve Charlotte Flair.
