The AEW Continental Classic is finally upon us. All Elite Wrestling has run over a dozen tournaments since the company's inception in 2019. However, the continental classic is unlike any of the tournaments we've seen before.
When does the Continental Classic begin? Who is participating? What does the winner get? We aim to answer all these questions and more in this handy guide.
What is the AEW Continental Classic?
The AEW Continental Classic is a six-week round robin tournament featuring two blocks of six wrestlers.
Unlike the single-elimination tournaments we've seen from AEW thus far, there will be no eliminations. Participants will receive points for wins and draws. The participants with most amount of points from each league (Gold and Blue) will win their respective leagues. The winners will then square off in the finals.
The AEW Continental Classic begins Wednesday, November 22 on AEW Dynamite. The finals will be held on Saturday, December 30 at the World's End pay-per-view from Long Island, NY.
