Blake Monroe holds an NXT Women's North American Title Open Challenge
NXT Women's North American Champion Blake Monroe will hold an Open Challenge for her title. The Glamour begged NXT General Manager Ava to allow her to hold an Open Challenge, and Ava granted her wish at NXT Deadline. Who will step up to Monroe?
:nxt5:
— And we're live! We are greeted with a Deadline recap, delivered via video package. joined by Vic Joseph on play-by-play, and Booker T on color commentary.
— Oba Femi performs a little jaunt down to the ring as the crowd chants "Oba" to his theme.
Power, Femi begins, does not bend, break, or begs. Femi acknowledges his Deadline opponent Ricky Saints, saying that he "momentarily knocked" Femi off his game. Regardless, "NXT" was not the same without Femi on top, and so the champion reclaimed his title.
Femi calls out Cody Rhodes, his "Saturday Night's Main Event" opponent. He says that Rhodes won't see potential, or a future threat. Rhodes will see, instead, the "now —" danger in the present.
The recently-dethroned Saints comes out to interrupt the new "NXT" titleholder. He congratulates Femi on his title win, and acknowledges him. Saints says that he is man enough to admit that Femi was the better man at Deadline. He begins to ponder over what is next for his "NXT" career, and momentarily worries that another "NXT" Championship reign is past him.
Such worries are only temporary. Saints stakes another challenge onto Femi, claiming that they are 1-1. The challenge: a tiebreaker for the "NXT" Championship.
2025's Iron Survivor Je'Von Evans makes his presence known! He boasts about his incredibly successful Deadline performance, and reminds the two men in the ring that he is the Number One Contender for the "NXT" Championship. Evans begins to ponder why he would wait until New Year's Evil to cash in his Iron Survivor privilege, and lays the gauntlet for Femi to put up his title tonight.
Saints asks Evans why he's in a rush as Femi shakes his head in disbelief. Saints discourages Evans from rushing into his title opportunity. Evans expresses his frustration with Saints' cautionary advice, and claims that he is not the future, but is the "right now." Evans doubles down on his self-advocacy, and highlights his resume: appearances on AAA, "NXT," and "WWE Raw" being a few. He reaffirms his intention to challenge Femi for his title tonight.
Saints is convinced, and begins to back Evans. Femi interjects, and asks the two championship-less individuals why they think they can boss around the world titleholder. Evans accuses Femi of being afraid of him, to which Femi reminds Evans of his current-undefeated streak against "The Young OG." Femi accepts the challenge as all three men stare each other down in the ring.
— A video package detailing Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace's rivalry follows.
— After the break, a video package featuring Tatum Paxley airs. Paxley addresses Deadline opponent ad Culling member Izzi Dame, and says that Dame's goal of stamping out her naivete worked. Paxley says that she has nothing to lose, but that Dame does. She holds up two dolls of Shawn Spears and Niko Vance, and says that she and Dame are playing "her game" now.
Kelani Jordan vs. Jordynne Grace
Jordan makes her entrance, but before Grace can make hers, the two are coming to blows! The brawl quickly recontains itself inside the ring as the bell rings, and Grace flattens Jordan with a Thesz Press. Big scoop slam from Big Mama Pump, and she follows up with a second one. Grace looks for a third one to end the sequence, and turns it into a Sit-Out Scoop Slam after Jordan escapes to run the ropes.
The two begin trading lefts and rights, and Grace looks to use her signature strength once more. Jordan escapes to the corner and kicks Grace in the face, but Jordan's attempt to corner her opponent backfires as Grace reverses the Irish Whip. Grace overwhelms Jordan before missing the mark on a corner splash, and Jordan's in control following a basement dropkick that turns Grace inside out!
Jordan continues to put the heat on Grace, but her attempt at driving a rope-hung Grace headfirst into the apron is averted. Grace puts the both of them onto the ring apron, and they slug before Grace tries for a Suplex to the outside. Jordan denies her, and tries to set up for a Spanish Fly to the outside. Grace blocks. Jordan looks for a Powerbomb off the apron, and Grace tries to respond by leaping out of Jordan's grasp. Jordan dives out, and sends Grace knee-first into the apron as we cut to commercial!
During the break, Jordan continues to put the hurt onto Grace's knee. She kicks it, tangles it in the corner ropes, and slams her whole body weight onto the rope-suspended joint. A supine Grace eventually fights back with a kick to Jordan's face, but the sadistic Jordan begins to wrap Grace's aching joint around the ringpost for a variant of the Figure Four. Back in the ring, Jordan goes for a pin, but she can't keep "The Juggernaut" down for the full three-count. Grace begins to fight back with some strikes to Jordan's abdomen, but Jordan fights her way back to put Grace into the Tree of Woe position. Before Jordan can capitalize off the top rope, however, Grace pulls Jordan down by her hair, and both women are down. They are trading lefts and rights again, and Grace goes for the flash pin. Close, but no cigar as we head back from the break.
Grace delivers a hyperextended Fisherman's Suplex to Jordan as she holds her aching knee, but as Jordan rolls out of the ring, Grace is forced to follow. Jordan uses the temporary pause to regain control, and after slamming Jordan onto the steel steps, tries to strike Grace with a steel chair. She misses, and seems to hurt her hand with the chair's recoil. Grace capitalizes with a Spinebuster, but fails to get the pin. The two are locked in a split-legged submission, with the toil between their two backs exchanged as they rock back and forth. The damage is done to both women as they hobble to their feet, but Grace is the one back to her senses first. She gets Jordan into a Full Nelson hold, and drives her face into the turnbuckle before going for a Rolling Suplex that would make Chad Gable proud. Jordan is folded in half, but she manages to escape the pinfall.
They're back on the outside now, and Grace looks to be looking for the Piledriver. Jordan reverses it, and the two exchange Piledriver setups before Jordan forces them into the steel steps. Grace is not a woman to be fooled twice, and she blocks Jordan's attempts at capitalizing the steel steps. Jordan returns to the ring, and an irate Grace picks up the steel chair used in Jordan's earlier attempt. The referee wrenches the chair from Grace's hold, and Jordan capitalizes on the distraction to kick Grace off the steps!
Grace goes flying into the corner barricade, which crumbles underneath her impact. It's Jordan's time, as she tosses Grace back in the ring to deliver a 450 for the pinfall!
Winner: Kelani Jordan
— Coming back from the break, Jordynne Grace and Thea Hail meet in a very busy women's locker room for a pep talk. Hail dashes to attend the Monroe's open challenge.
— Before the Open Challenge gets underway, Monroe takes to the mic. She posits herself as a "role model" for the women in the "NXT" locker room, and mentions how she's been in a "giving" mood this holiday season! She turns her attention to the entrance ramp to see which "lucky lady" will come and answer her call.
A multitude of women come to meet the challenge, with some recognizable faces including Lola Vice and Karmen Petrovic. Thea Hail bursts out to grasp Monroe from behind, and Monroe scurries to the outside...just to be surrounded with contenders! We are left to wonder which woman Monroe will choose as the show fades to a backstage interview featuring the debuting Shiloh Hill. He puts in a mouth guard that covers his imperfect smile before we cut to commercial.
Lexis King vs. Shiloh Hill
Shiloh Hill is not wasting any time! Right after making his dynamic entrance, he tosses King over the top rope to start the match. He manhandles King, carrying him from corner to corner before laying him out for a running Basement Clothesline. King finally regains his footing by sending Hill into the corner, and the "NXT" veteran is breaking the new guy in with kicks, corner strikes, and pinfall attempts. The match, however, continues as Hill kicks out to keep his successful "NXT" debut dreams alive.
King is straight-up disrespecting Hill in the corner. His feet look to choke Hill out before he goes for a running strike, to which Hill reawakens enough to lay them both out with a Double Lariat. King removes his mouthguard — and his decorum — as he begins to become unglued! A Swinging Neckbreaker from Hill nearly puts King away, but no matter. Hill continues to wail on King following a Superkick no-sell, before overwhelming him with some strikes. He eventually wins following his finisher, Whisper to the Beast, and he gives us a toothy smile as the referee raises his hand. King is left wheezing in pain as Hill retrieves his retainer from the referee, who had held it earlier.
Winner: Shiloh Hill
— We see Ethan Page backstage getting his belts shined and we cut to a commercial.
— Kelly Kincaid talks to Oba Femi backstage and asks him his thoughts about facing Je'Von Evans tonight. Femi says as a champion you need to expect the unexpected but it'll always end with gold hoisted above his head. He tells Cody Rhodes to watch carefully because he will put Rhodes into the ground and break the American Nightmare.
— Ethan Page comes out to the ring. Page gets on the mic and says he's defeated everyone and anyone. Page says he's studied to get to where he is, whereas the other wrestlers and athletes are focused more on clout. He talks about how the WWE Universe is fixated on John Cena and his retirement match. He says he's ready to fill Cena's spot in the WWE. Page says he's made the titles he has the most sought after titles. Page says he is on top and he's like no other in this company. He says there are three important days in our lives, the day we are born, the day we die, and the day we accept how incredible Page is. The lights go off as Page is talking and we see a video pop up of a man walking on a bridge. We cut back to the ring and Tony D'Angelo is in the ring and he chokeslams Page. D'Angelo drops some black napkins on Page.
— Sol Ruca walks backstage to her match up next. We also see Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey walking to the match. Ruca vs Sinclair is next.
— DarkState talks backstage. Dion Lennox leaves to meet Ava, Joe Hendry, Leon Slater & Myles Borne. Ava tells them they'll have a fatal four way and whoever wins will challenge the winner from New Years Evil. Ethan Page runs in and is pissed Tony D'Angelo attacked him. Borne makes fun of Page and they all laugh at the shenanigans.
Wren Sinclair (w/ Kendal Grey) vs. Sol Ruca
Sinclair and Ruca circle each other briefly before locking up. Sinclair gets Ruca in a Full Nelson, but Ruca fights out of it. They play their cat-and-mouse game before Sinclair gets Ruca in a calf crusher. Ruca escapes, and controls Sinclair with a headlock before going for a kick. Sinclair tries to get a flash pin, but Ruca dances around her until she gets a Sit-Out Facebuster in.
The camera pans up, and Zaria is looking down on Ruca from the crowd! Ruca gives a week wave before Sinclair goes for a flash pin, and the two trade pin combos before Ruca pushes Sinclair towards the ropes. Sinclair manages to kick out Ruca's notoriously weak knees before driving one of them directly into the canvas. She puts a knee-based submission onto Ruca, and despite Ruca's attempts to fight back, Sinclair has it locked in. Zaria continues to watch as Ruca makes her way to her feet to land a kick and a series of Spinning Back Elbows to Sinclair. Sinclair Irish Whips Ruca into the corners, which sets Ruca up for a beautiful Missile Dropkick! Ruca gets some side kicks onto Sinclair before Sinclair lays on some heavy chops to the former double champ, and it's a Dragon Suplex for Sinclair.
A cornered Ruca dodges the incoming Sinclair, and as Sinclair is dazed from the ropes, Ruca lands a breathtaking Sol Snatcher for a quick victory! Zaria claps halfheartedly as the referee raises Ruca's hand.
Winner: Sol Ruca
— As Ruca is celebrating on the ropes, Zaria begins to descend the staircase before choosing to walk away. Ruca jumps the barricade to go after her as Fatal Influence make their entrance. We cut to commercial after.
— Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) come out to the ring and we cut to a commercial break. We come back from break and Jayne talks to Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair. She congratulates Grey and tells her she should be proud of herself and says this is as good as it'll get for her. Jayne says Grey's stocks are high because she's the now, and she's living the dream. Jayne tells Grey to enjoy this while it lasts because Jayne will give Grey a catastrophic downward spiral. Jayne says she has no problem being the bad guy and tells Grey that potential doesn't win championships and says she's not on Jayne's level. Jayne says she owned 2025 and Grey is a flash in the pan. Jayne talks about making history by being a double champ in two different organizations and tells Grey she will not steal Jayne's spotlight. Jayne calls Grey a loser and says she has no chance in beating Jayne. Grey says she has a lot to learn and brings up that she won the Iron Survivor and talks about being the underdog and tells Jayne she was an underdog. Grey says she's an underdog who bites back. Sinclair tells Jayne after Grey wins, they'll have two titles. Sinclair tells Henley that maybe she'll come for her title. Reid tells Sinclair her WRENQCC is a knockoff of Fatal Influence. Reid, Jayne and Henley attack Sinclair and Grey. Fatal Influence poses as Sinclair and Grey are laid out.
— We see a video of Hank & Tank and their trip to Japan where they wrestled. Kelly Kincaid is backstage when Hank & Tank and their in Japanese garb. They say they're ready because they're back. OTM comes in and asks them what will happen now they're back. A match is set for next week between the two teams.

Monroe says no more open challenges for her, ever. She asks for an apology and Ava says she won't apologize and tells Monroe she battles Thea Hail next week.

NXT World Championship Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je'Von Evans
Both men make their entrances, and are given their introductions by Mike Rome.
Femi backs Evans into a corner almost immediately, but it looks to be a mind game play as Femi backs off and beckons Evans towards him. The two lock up once more, and after the referee gives a stern count, Femi backs off with a smirk. Evans levels him with a Superkick, and looks to go for his signature Springboard Cutter, but Femi withstands it with his brute strength. Femi looks to get a running knee strike onto a cornered Evans, but Evans dodges and responds with a wild kick. It gets him a near fall, but no dice.
The two continue to fight for match dominance, with both of them trading strikes, dodges, and counters. Femi holds his jaw as Evans is on the ground, but despite the setback, Evans comes back with a rebound spinning kick to score another near fall onto "The Ruler."
Evans looks to maintain his match dominance, but Femi plucks the charging Evans out of thin air and sends him into the corner. He wails on him before picking him up for a Backbreaker over the knee — except Femi holds Evans airborne for a bit whilst sucking his thumb. Baby steps for Femi.
Femi continues his stint in the driver's seat as he establishes a resting chinlock onto Evans. Evans flails, but Femi is comfortable here. After a bit, the two men rise to their feet, and the scrappy Evans tries to fight back with some elbows to the abdomen. Femi's still hanging on, so it's to the corner they go to break the hold. It's a magnificent standing dropkick from Evans, and as Femi rolls out of the ring, the airborne Evans looks to be formulating a plot. Evans looks to flatten Femi on the outside, but Femi's played these games before, and grabs "The Young OG's" foot to bring him back down to Earth.
It's an aggressive Irish Whip into the apron, but Evans jumps onto the ropes like a spider to perform a Springboard Moonsault! Femi catches him, however, and looks to throw him into the apron like a dart before Evans wiggles free mid-stride. Evans pushes Femi into the apron, but he's not playing the big dog for long. Femi is unfazed, and lays out Evans as we head to commercial.
On commercial break, Femi continues to lay the pain onto Evans. He tosses Evan haphazardly into the apron before ruthlessly tossing him back into the ring. Evans' attempt at a flash pin goes up in smoke and most likely just makes Femi angrier, as "The Ruler" refuses to hold back his following strikes and stomps. Femi holds nothing back as he drives Evans' knee into the canvas, and "The Young OG" hops and flails in pain as Femi continues to dominate the match. Femi's following Suplex is plain disrespectful, as "The Ruler" performs sit-ups in front of the wheezing Evans before beckoning to the crowd.
Back from commercial, Evans is beginning to fight back against "The Ruler!" That is, until Femi brings him up and slams him down on his knee for a near fall. Evans has been through hell, and it shows in his glassy stare as he crawls to the ropes. Both men are on their feet, and Femi looks to set Evans up for a lifting move...only for Evans to collapse to his feet. Femi grabs him by the chin and begins to berate him, but Evans manages to strike him on the abdomen. He strikes Femi once, twice, three, four times before collapsing. The double Axe Handle strike to the back of his neck sends Evans crashing down.
The apron is a precarious place, but Evans seems to be showing signs of life here! He dumps Femi to the outside, and manages to reverse out of Femi's follow-up Powerbomb attempt to send him crashing down with a Hurricanrana. Femi attempts to charge at Evans like a speeding bull, but Evans dives out of the way, leaving Femi to nearly Spear Booker T in half! Evans crawls back into the ring as Femi struggles to get his bearings. The champion manages to get back into the ring...and right into the landing zone for a Frog Splash.
Another one lands, but it will not be Evans' day — not just yet! Femi kicks out after two Frog Splashes, and Evans is flailing in frustration and exhaustion. He is fighting on instinct, merely peppering "The Ruler" with strikes before landing a Corkscrew Roundhouse! He levels Femi with a Suicide Dive to the outside, and looks to put the exclamation point on the match with a top-rope dive...before Femi clocks him with a right forearm. Evans responds with a Suplex attempt, but Femi lands on his feet!
Evans is not giving up! He lands a cutter, but only gets a near fall in response. He goes to rebound off the ropes, but Femi interrupts him with a corkscrew uppercut. Miraculously, Evans lands another cutter, and goes for the trifecta with a top-rope cutter that would make Cody Rhodes jealous! It's one, two, th—
At the eleventh hour, the referee is pulled from the ring! You can hear Evans' heart break in two as the interfering hand is revealed to be Ricky Saints'! The referee shouts at Saints, but a top-rope dive from Evans really shuts the former "NXT" Champion up. The match is not called off despite the altercation, and Evans gets back into the ring to land another Corkscrew Roundhouse kick onto Femi. He goes for some insurance, but Femi snatches him out of midair with a stiff lariat! Two running uppercuts in the corner snuff out any life Evans has, and Femi looks directly into the camera — directly at "Saturday Night's Main Event" opponent Rhodes — before ending the match with a Fall from Grace.
Winner and STILL NXT Champion: Oba Femi
— After the match, Femi locks eyes with Saints as he leaves the ring and the show goes off the air.
