WWE Planning Major Date Change For WrestleMania 43
A major shake-up may be coming with WrestleMania 43.
Reports via WrestleVotes suggest that WWE is targeting the weekend of March 27, 2027 for WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The date would coincide with the end of the annual Riyadh Season festival.
WWE is yet to officially confirm the date for the show. WrestleVotes reports that the weekend of April 10 is also on the table as an alternative.
The March 27 date would mark a return to WWE's traditional WrestleMania scheduling. Most WrestleManias have historically been held in either late March or early April.
Starting in 2025, WWE pushed the event back to mid/late April to avoid competing with Final Four weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament. The 2027 show would reverse that strategy for one year.
WrestleVotes reported that it's possible but unlikely that WrestleMania 43 could return to a one-night event for one year only.
Fightful suggested that WWE's broadcast partner , is said to prefer the two-night format. WrestleMania has been a two-night event since WrestleMania 36 in 2020. The format has become standard for the company's flagship Premium Live Event.
WrestleMania 43 will be the first time WWE's marquee event has ever been held outside of the United States or Canada. Nashville, Tennessee was in consideration as the host city before Saudi Arabia was chosen.
WWE is moving ahead with its Saudi Arabia plans despite some uncertainty amid the war between the United States and Israel and Iran. The company also announced that Night of Champions 2026 will be held in Riyadh on Saturday, June 27.
