Danhausen Teases Mystery Partner For WWE Backlash Tag Match
Danhausen is on the hunt for a tag team partner, and he's aiming for the biggest names in WWE history. During this week's episode of WWE SmackDown in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the fan-favorite superstar earned himself a match at Backlash 2026 against The Miz and Kit Wilson.
However, there's one condition: SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis informed Danhausen that the match will only become official if he can get a tag team partner for the match. That's where things get interesting.
In classic Danhausen fashion, the superstar took to social media to recruit help from a list of WWE legends, many of whom have long since retired. That list includes "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, AJ Styles, John Cena, Stardust, Kurgan, Mideon, and Papa Shango. He wrote:
"Hello Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Undertaker, AJ Styles, John Cena, Steve Austin, Stardust, Kurgan, Mideon, Papa Shango," Danhausen wrote on X, tagging each of their accounts. "How does 400 human dollars sound to come out of retirements and team with Danhausen?!"
Whether any of these legends will actually answer the call remains to be seen. The pitch alone, however, is vintage Danhausen.
WWE Backlash 2026 is scheduled to take place on May 9 in Tampa, Florida.
