The Thing (1982)

An American scientific expedition to the frozen wastes of the Antarctic is interrupted by a group of seemingly mad Norwegians pursuing and shooting a dog. The helicopter pursuing the dog crashes leaving no explanation for the chase. During the night, the dog mutates and attacks other dogs in the cage and members of the team that investigate. The team soon realises that an alien life-form with the ability to take over other bodies is on the loose and they don't know who may already have been taken over.
Awesome movie, this is one of the movies in my life that I can watch over and over again. Kurt Russell is good in the movie and the rest of the cast do a good job as well. The special effects are incredible for 1982 and is gore at its best.
^^ WOW! That's an awesome pick! And the movie I was gonna pick for round 3 :shifty:
I guess we can start round 3 then :)
I'll kick it off, picking:

Glad to see the third round started. For my third pick I had two picks stuck in my head and after much deliberation, this is the one I'm going with.
The Blair Witch Project (1999)

A movie that was original, influential, popular as hell and brilliantly done, yet so very simplistic.
My pic is....
The Devil's Rejects (2005)

Reservoir Dogs hope it counts? If so then...

Oh i love it never get's boring to me always confortable to watch a nice feeling inside. My favourite performance of his as well. Great director but Jack blows them all away. One of my favourite movies ever and Kubrick had every person in the movie put 100 percent into there acting lol and you can tell by the look and exhaustion on Shelly's face lol. He knows what he wants and he get's it done. The boy in it pisses me off though.
^^ Great pick Travis :)
And Swinny picked Blair Witch :omg: One of my favorite horror movies. I was saving it for pick 4 :(
