I hope not, because Teddy Long is cooler than Coach, but it's probably gonna happen

Agree with Ethan
I don't think they are necesarily giving up on Smackdown! I think they are just ready to combine the shows and are making some preparations to do so. Thats what I'm hoping atleast lol.
Cant say anything about it but surly its yes from my side
i feel sd is going to die a natural death as they will merge raw & sd since all major supoerstars are slowly moving to raw(read nitro melina orton)and some are
soon leaving wwe or in a layoff due to ijury.they are going to make ecw their second show since vince owns both.they may start a storyline involving ecw taking over sd and raw & sd uniting to fight ecw which will finally culminate at wm next year with hopefully some memorable matches merging the 2 brands and making ecw the second brand.
Well, hopefully they rejoin the brands together, and get rid of one set of tag team belts, because if they merge, there will be more compertition and better ratings, because back in the day, that was awesome. and this way we may see people teaming up, or facing each other again, batista triple h, edge matt hardy. and if they put lashley and benjimin together, that would be a good tag team,
but then again,, tna may just take over the number one spot.. :(
I just don't understand how people can think that management has decided to cut and run from smackdown.
SMACKDOWN IS NOT GOING TO DIE!
The problem is that there are a bunch of small problems; poor time slot, injured champ with no real main event challenger (I dont count mark henry), they just lost a lot of talent......but still, with a few months of work mst of these wont be an issue anymore. They can always promote people like booker and kennedy to the main event, take the belt from rey even if it has top be to henry, change the GM (wherever I go online, there's nothing but hatred for him) or at least turn him heel (a team like henry and long might be cool).
Smackdown is NOT going to die, it's just on the short end of the attention stick. As long as Vinnie Mac and co are going to be on raw, Smackdown is always going to be a little neglected.
^Did you read the any other posts in this thread or on this site? Most of us are not suggesting that SD will die, just that it will be reunited with RAW. The new channel "CW" will continue to air Smackdown, so it definitely won't be going off TV soon. With a few exceptions, most of us have predicted that the two original WWE shows will be combined again. I really don't know who you're trying to argue against.Maybe you haven't been paying attention, but that storyline started over a year ago before the first One Night Stand PPV.Quote:

They wouldn't ditch Smackdown, there would be too many superstars to put between just Raw and ECW.
