Hey assy do you understand the theory of allusion. Johnny Nitro is a ladies man while only having one woman. He plays to them by showing off his body, having his title around his belt loop rather than around his waist or on his shoulder. If you don't understand the belt loop you are truly naive. It is an arrogant, suggestive parallelism to a zipper. As for Michaels I only remember him having one woman myself. He had that storyline with Diana Smith as well so it could be 2. You also kill yourself with one point. Nitro is just starting on his ascent. With his suggestiveness and sexuality he could land into a role having more than one woman. The character is far from played out.

Great argument. I listed several similarities between Nitro and Edge, and the only thing you come up with to combat and compare him to Shawn Michaels is a belt loop. :hmm: Well done.
You obviously don't rememer HBK's gimmick very well. The tights with the pink hearts. Mooning the female audience members. The "Boy toy" entrance music. A lot of this is still with him, but it's still no where near Johnny Nitro's gimmick.
I understand what the belt loop signifies. I never said that I didn't. That is something that you ignorantly assumed. However, the Johnny Nitro character is not defined by a belt loop. The other stuff I listed (moveset, attire, attitude, etc) are things used to identify a pro wrestler. If the belt loop is the thing that stands out the most in his entrance, then you are looking in the wrong place, (or the right place if you're gay).

i think that the torch should be passed on to Bataist cuz he is simply amazing in the ring and with his raw power
-
^ nice one! but i still think it gotta be Carlittooo
-
For the sake of not letting this thread get any more redundant than it already has, if you who have a wrestler in mind who you think deserves to get the "torch" passed to them, please tell who you think currently posseses this torch.
-
currently, the torch is clipped on the wall!
-
no, currently, the torch is with John Cena 'DUH!'.
-
^Do you get WWE programs on a one-month delay or something?
-
^^^LOL. Yup. But, I do keep up wid the internet.
When I said the torch is wid Cena, I meant Cena is da one who is being billed as the top superstar. Face it, even when he is not the champ, he is supposed to be the next Rock, the tough guy, the MVP of raw, besides DX ofcourse. The torch doesnt necessarily belong with the champ. John Cena is not the champ, but he is still being pushed, isnt he?
-
Actually, I don't think Cena is being pushed. His popularity has been on a steady decline since mid-2005. Just because he hasn't been immediately removed from the title scene doesn't mean he is the MVP of RAW. There are others IMO that are more valuable to RAW than Cena. If he was gone from RAW for several weeks, the show wouldn't suffer.
I don't know what plans WWE has for Cena next, but hopefully they include a heel turn and some refreshening of his gimmick. It really has gotten stale.
