Live from Nippon Budokan, Tokyo/Japan
Show starts with Running Mate Champion; Jon Moxley and his " entourage " Orange Cassidy and human tornado walking into the ring where Moxley cut's a promo on the current situation in this company. He says he has no plan about cashing in this title for any title shot any time soon, because as he already told, he wants to be the greatest Running Mate Champion in history, and he wants to give this title some prestige. And honestly, letting people like Tommaso Ciampa, Andrade and MJF does not help getting the prestige up. He does not get to say anything more as music cranks the arena speakers. It's Gm Randy Orton's music and the general manager walks out on the stage with a microphone in his hand. He cut's straight to the chase, confronting Moxley. He tells Moxley that offcourse he is entitled to cash the title in or not. That's his choise. But, if he want's to hold the title, he will have to defend it, and as he just told everyone himself, the 28 days has passed, and he has not cashed in the title yet. So....will Moxley cash in the title tonight, or will the fans get to see Jon Moxley defend his coveted title at the upcoming PPV this weekend? Moxley smiles, looks at Cassidy then turn his attention back to Orton on the stage. He asks Orton if he has a hearing problem or something. He just said that he had no plans cashing in the title anytime soon. Orton says ok, that means Moxley got to defend the title on the upcoming PPV. Moxley laughs and makes a mocking gesture, as if that should be any problem. Orton then smiles and announce Moxley's opponent. Orange Cassidy!!! What!? Moxley gets furious about this, but Orton only laughs, throws away the microphone and flips Moxley the bird before leaving backstage. We cut to the Jamboree vignette.....
Interesting for sure. Added Tornado to the segment as well. Makes sense I guess. No idea what to do though.
Singles Matchup
Roderick Strong Vs AJ Styles
Fun match here from both men. Hard hitting, back breakers and signature moves. At the end of the match Styles Clash gets the win for him but Strong looks ok.
We go backstage where we hook up with Alexa Bliss and Leah Von Dutch who's discussing Alexa's match against Nia. Or, Leah is trying to discuss it but Alexa only gets annoyed, trying to tell Leah to shut up. The tension gets more heated when Leah suddenly from out of nowhere bitchslaps Alexa. None of the girls say anything, they just stare at each other for some seconds before Alexa draws her breath and asks what the hell that was for. She's seemingly angry, but are trying to get a hang on herself. Leah tells Alexa that she's had enough of Alexa's ego and attitude as of late. She thought Alexa was going to help her. Instead, as of late, it's been all about her. Alexa snaps then and bitchslaps Leah back. She then scream to her that if she would have paid a bit of attention to what Alexa has been saying these past weeks, she might have understood that there is things going on. Wheels are in motion, but Leah's patience are equal to a five year old on X-mas eve. Then, from out of the shadows walks three other persons. It's Penelope Ford, Session Moth Martina and Piper Niven! What is all this about? Leah is confused, asking what's going on. Alexa smiles then tell Leah to say hi to " The Harem " We cut back to the ring after this.
Wow debut of the Haram. Didn’t think Ford would be involved and I guess Becky is on her own now. Some interesting names.
Tag Team Matchup
reDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) Vs The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Buck)
Must be the 1000th match between them but it’s always good. High flying, signature, back and forth action from all involved. At the end of the match Bucks pick up the win in an awesome match. More Bang, Meltzer Driver as well and the Way of the match Dragon.
We get a commercial video for the upcoming EAM PPV that will take place here in Tokyo, and we get the announcement that a special match will take place on the show. The tag team division in EAM has always been top notch, but if you look at the record books, there are especially two teams that sticks out. One of the teams are EAM Hall of Famers and have the record of the longest title reign in EAM history. The other team marked themselves in the early years of EAM and holds the record of the longest undefested streak in EAM history by a tag team. At A Night Of Ex Post Facto, these two teams square off one last time. Because who can resist a possible five star matchup? We also get the announcement that The Lucha Bros will be facing off against The Colibri Coalition. The two teams have met twice before, each earning a victory over each other. Who will win the coveted rubber match at A Night Of Ex Post Facto? And who knows what will be in store for the team that prevails? It's going to be a night of many surprises for sure! Tune in this weekend, when EAM returns to PPV live from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo!
Singles Matchup
Asuka Vs Jamie Hayter
Lot of exciting matches. Solid match from both of these girls and Hayter is undefeated I believe. She’s slowly working her way to a possible match against Jax. Asuka looks good. Submissions and technical style but Jamie mists her instead!. Hayter Bomb for the 3 count and maybe a shock win!.
We go backstage where we hook up with The Dynasty. MJF fills everyone's glasses with champagne before he makes sure nobody listens to what they are talking about (even tough they are in their own private locker) He then has a peptalk with the guys, telling them that they need to get rid of this cult thing that calls themselves The Golden Monkey Brotherhood before they take over the the whole show. Just in a couple of weeks their amount have increased from three to five. They need to stop this infestation before it goes to far! That's why he's been thinking about expanding their little troupe. The other's doesn't really like the sound of this, but MJF assures them that they will change their mind when they meet the person MJF has in mind. We cut back to ringside for our next match of the evening.
Special Tag Team Challenge
Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil and Sanada) Vs Mustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate)
MJF’s team can be that annoying irritating team that just went go away. Solid tag match from both teams. Might be Evil and Sanada first match on tv. Mountain get the win though after a solid 15 minutes strong style action packed match.
As we get back from commercial break we see a promotional video for the upcoming Slobber Knocker PPV, who will be the 4th PPV under the Slobberknocker banner. We get the announcement that the male slobberknocker match will have 50 participants, and as we already know, WALTER will enter last, whick is a huge advantage. We also get the announcement that the womens slobberknocker match will have 30 participants. We also get the official announcement regarding a match that's been talked about on social media the last couple of days. The Pride Champion; Lars Sullivan will face off against The Ornate Prime Champion; Keith Lee when EAM comes to Sydney. And it will be for PRIDE!. We also get to know that Ronda Rousey will personally be going out with an update regarding her health and the planned match against Nia Jax on the Slobberknocker PPV, next week on Jamboree when EAM will be live from Sydney!
A lot going on. Makes sense 30 because there’s less women but they’re always fun. Hard to do but fun and thought it was the third one. Some surprises maybe as well or open spots. Jax/Ronda of course and Lee vs Lars but that must be a singles match. Not for both belts. Think that’s a silly idea so changed it. It’s a one off match so no title on the line. Lee isn’t gonna go back to Pride so making it about just Pride and a title is much better. No belt on the line in that match because it messes up two different people’s storylines and paths.
Singles Matchup
Adam Cole Vs Chris Jericho
Fun match from both of them with Jericho dominating. Backstabber and a lionsault for 2. Cole with a Panama Sunrise...
During the matchup, Marty Scurll and his entourage of Brodie Lee and Young Bucks follows. It's a 5-on-1 beatdown in Cole until O'Reilly, Fish and Strong comes to Cole's aid, but Bucks and Brodie holds them off. Marty cut's a promo while the other keep on continuing beating down the members of The Undisputed Era. He talks about how The Villain Club's reign of terror is upon them, and he wants to send everyone a message. Either you are with them, or you are against them. He then tells Cole that he knows what side he is on, so Cole's options are not that many. But Scurll are willing to give him a couple of options. Because he is not that cold-hearted after all. He is willing to leave Cole and his friends alone, if Cole put's that NWA title on the line. He's not even asking for a title match himself. He thought Cole should be the one to choose his opponent. As long as it is a member of The Villain Club! He then tell Cole to choose wisely. He's got five days to think about it. The show ends with The Villain Club standing over the downed bodies of The Undisputed Era.....
Oh wow that makes perfect sense. Two factions fighting. Thought it was gonna be an 8 man tag but Cole vs Scurll makes sense especially since Scurll just debuted in NWA. Hope it happens. Unless Bucks/Lee fight off in a 6 man tag against them.
