AEW Officially Announces 2023 Forbidden Door PPV
AEW has confirmed that the promotion is headed to Canada for a tour this summer, including the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event.
The promotion will start the tour in June through July across Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan for the House Rules event, Dynamite, and Rampage episodes.
AEW is returning to Toronto after selling out the Coca-Cola Coliseum last October when they host the Forbidden Door PPV at the Scotiabank Centre on Sunday, June 25. The event pits NJPW against AEW talent.
“Canada has a rich wrestling heritage, and our debut in Toronto last year served as a special moment in our incredible relationship with fans throughout the country,” said Tony Khan.
“Now, we’re not only entering new markets but also paying homage to the history of Canadian wrestling with unique moments like AEW House Rules taking place from the iconic Calgary Stampede. This summer is shaping up to be massive with the return of Forbidden Door, and now Canadian fans in six separate markets will get the chance to witness what AEW has to offer up close and personal.”
Tickets for all six events go on sale Friday, March 24, at 10 a.m. ET.
