Angry WWE NXT Live Coverage - July 29th, 2025

Ethan Page defends the NXT North American Title against Santino Marella

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella returns to a WWE ring as he will challenge Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship. Page shocked NXT when he introduced a Canadian-themed North American Title, and the move irked fellow Canadian Santino Marella, who came over from TNA to confront the champion. Now, the two Superstars will clash with the title on the line live TONIGHT.

    – The show kicks off with a ten bell salute to Hulk Hogan and a video highlighting various moments from Hogan's career.

    – Vic Joseph, Booker T, and Corey Graves then greet audiences at home as Jaida Parker makes her way to the ring. Fatal Influence follows.

Jaida Parker vs. Jazmyn Nyx (w/ Fatal Influence)

The bell rings and the two lock up. Nyx looks to land a kick on Parker's chest, but Parker catches it. Nyx lands a springboard kick on Parker's chest, but Parker whips Nyx into the corner. Nyx levels Parker with a double back heel kick, then sends her crashing into the mat twice face first and cinches in a submission on her.

Parker fires off a couple of right hands on Nyx's midsection and sends her crashing into the mat with a suplex, but Nyx rocks Parker with a forearm. Parker returns the favor, but Nyx lands a Pele Kick on Parker. Parker responds with a back elbow to Nyx and an overhand chop to her, then drapes her across the middle turnbuckle and connects with her signature Hip Attack. She then lands a second Hip Attack on Nyx for the iwn.

    Winner: Jaida Parker

    – After the match, Henley and Jayne get in the ring and scold Nyx.

    – Je'Von Evan walks backstage and he walks by several NXT superstars and he stops by each group and gives them advice before heading to the ring to heed The Undertaker's advice from last week.

    – Je'Von Evans then makes his way to the ring.

Evans says The Undertaker gave him some legendary advice last week and told him to go after the NXT Championship.

Trick Williams cuts Evans off and says he knows Evans is on his high horse, but Evans tells Williams to slow down with his big dog energy. Williams says despite what The Undertaker says, the fact still remains that he's the biggest thing in "NXT" and TNA Wrestling right now. Evans says he was talking about Oba Femi rather than Williams himself, but Williams says Femi had lust in his eyes and wishes he wanted the TNA World Championship. He says since Femi wants something he has, he'll take something that Femi has in the NXT Championship and tells Jacy Jayne to watch out as a two time champion.

High Ryze's music hits, and the trio make their way to the ring. Wes Lee says Evans should be calling out Femi, but Williams is still on a whole different level than him. He says while The Undertaker gave Evans good advice, he gave it to the wrong person since Evans doesn't understand what it takes to be a good champion. He says some people can captivate the WWE Universe.

Evans looks to attack Williams and High Ryze, but the four men outnumber him. Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe hold Evans in place for Lee to deliver a Kardiak Kick to Evans.

    – Backstage, Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors look to take out Hank & Tank following the advice The Undertaker gave Je'Von Evans which was echoed by Andre Chase. They run into the locker room with chairs but Hank & Tank tell them if they want a title match to just ask.

    – No Quarter Catch Crew then make their way to the ring.

Tavion Heights vs. Charlie Dempsey (w/ Wren Sinclair)

The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth with one another, but Heights and Dempsey level one another with crossbodies. Dempsey levels Heights with a strike, then wears him down with a submission. He sends Heights crashing into the ring steps on the outside, then cinches in a Boston Crab on him back inside the ring before he transitions into a Half Boston Crab. Heights rolls through to break the hold, then runs Dempsey over with a flying clothesline and sends him crashing into the mat. He lands a Death Valley Driver to Dempsey and follows it up with a belly-to-belly suplex for the win.

    Winner: Tavion Heights

    – After the match, Heights and Dempsey shake hands and Dempsey leaves with Sinclair.

    – Backstage, Trick Williams is backstage with The High Ryze. Wes Lee asks Williams to get The High Ryze a tag title match in TNA. Williams says he will and Santino Marella walks by and tells Williams to remember his place.

    – Blake Monroe walks backstage and is headed to the ring.

Monroe says while everyone is questioning why she betrayed Jordynne Grace at WWE Evolution, she has a simple answer: Grace isn't good enough. She says Grace is more of a backstage player, then shows older pictures of Grace and mocks her for her appearance. She praises herself for how she looked years ago unlike how she perceived Grace as looking back in the day.

Lola Vice's music hits, and she makes her way out. She tells Monroe to be quiet, then asks Monroe how she can be so beautiful but so ugly inside. She says starpower is flying across the world to compete in AAA and creating viral moments rather than taking selfies backstage.

Jaida Parker's music hits, and she makes her way out. She says Vice and Monroe are talking about viral moments, but she needs no one to make any type of noise. Jordynne Grace's music then hits, but Kelani Jordan instead appears and says she's not the Jordan that Monroe was looking for. She says Monroe can't do it like she can, but Monroe tells Jordan that she finally got a personality and challenges her to a match last week before landing a headbutt on her.

Monroe brawls with Jordan, while Parker and Vice brawl with one another. Vice and Jordan send Monroe and Parker crashing out of the ring. Monroe then hugs Parker on the outside, but Parker shoves Monroe and sends her crashing onto the floor.

    – Tatum Paxley & Izzi Dame talk backstage. Paxley says after pinning Zaria she will challenge Sol Ruca. Dame tells her she has to pin Ruca to get a title shot. Shawn Spears and Niko Vance come by and tells Paxley she has a match against Ruca next week. Paxley says she loves her new family and they all leave. Luca Crusifino comes by after they've left and says no family lasts forever.

    – Lash Legend makes her way to the ring. Fatal Influence is already waiting inside.

Lash Legend vs. Fallon Henley (w/ Fatal Influence)

The bell rings and Henley mocks Legend. Legend rains down forearms on Henley, but Henley lands a couple of forearms of her own on Legend. Legend responds with a Gorilla Press Slam to Henley as an image of Joe Hendry flashes on the screen for the second time of the night.

Legend sends Henley's head bouncing off the top rope, but Henley responds with a Blockbuster to Legend off the middle rope and fires off stomps on her. Henley cinches in a Sleeper on Legend, but Legend sends Henley crashing into the corner of the ring spine first to break the hold. Legend sets up Henley for a powerbomb, but Henley fires off right hands on her and escapes with a head scissors.

Legend lands a Fallaway Slam on Henley, then sends her crashing out of the ring as she ascends to the middle rope. Jazmyn Nyx inserts herself between Henley and Legend, but Legend lands a forearm on her. Jacy Jayne looks to hit Legend with her NXT Women's Championship belt, but Legend runs over Jayne with a pump kick. Nia Jax then appears out of nowhere and clocks Legend from behind, opening the door for Henley to land a Famouser on Legend back inside the ring for the win.

    Winner: Fallon Henley

    – After the match, Jax hits the Annihilator on Legend.

    – Josh Briggs is backstage and is upset about last week with his partner Yosiki Inamura. Inamura runs in and Briggs and he get in a scuffle. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo comes by to tell Inamura that at the end of the day, everyone gets theirs. Inamura slaps Lorenzo and tells him to meet him in the ring next week.

    – Je'Von Evans makes his way to the ring. High Ryze follows, and Trick Williams joins the announce desk.

Je'Von Evans vs. Wes Lee (w/ Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe)

Evans blindsides Lee on the entrance ramp and brawls with him into the ring. The bell sounds, and Evans lands a clothesline on Lee off the top rope. Lee responds with a dropkick to Evans' spine, then continues wearing him down. Lee gains the upper hand over Evans, but Igwe distracts Evans as he ascends to the middle rope. This opens the door for Lee to send Evans crashing onto the floor and fly over the top rope to level him.

Lee continues wearing down Evans on the outside and lands an enzuigiri on his spine, then mocks him and pins him back in the ring. Evans kicks out, but Lee wears him down with a submission hold. Evans levels Lee with a flying right hand and a Kardiak Kick, then goes for a pin but Lee kicks out.

Lee lands a kick on Evans' head and spikes him with a DDT, then follows it up with a Brainbuster and goes for a pin. Evans kicks out, then trips Lee as he ascends to the top rope, then drapes him by his knees and lands a Coast To Coast style flipping kick on Lee. He follows it up with a Frog Splash and goes for another pin, but Lee kicks out once again.

DuPont hops up on the apron, but Evans rocks him with a superkick and flies over the top rope to level DuPont and Igwe. Lee rolls up Evans when he gets back inside the ring, but Evans kicks out. Lee then delivers the Kardiak Kick to Evans and goes for a pin, but Evans gets his foot on the middle rope to break the fall.

Lee gets in the referee's face, but Evans rolls him up. Lee kicks out, but Evans catches him with the OG Cutter for the win.

    Winner: Je'Von Evans

    – After the match, Oba Femi shows up on the balcony with his belt and stares down both Trick Williams and Je'Von Evans.

    – The NXT Spotlight falls on Myles Borne. Borne discusses Lexis King and his shenanigans. Borne talks about all the trials he's been through in life.

    – Earlier today, Stevie Turner and Robert Stone talk to Ava about the injuries to Ricky Saints and Jordynne Grace. Lexis King barges in and says Myles Borne is a liar and isn't deaf. Ava issues a match with Borne and King next week.

    – Fatal Influence is leaving the arena and Nia Jax runs by and tells Lash Legend that she got her ass kicked by Nia Jax and to not say she's the top dog of the women's roster.

    – Santino Marella then makes his way to the ring. Ethan Page follows.

NXT North American Championship Match: Ethan Page (c) vs. Santino Marella

The bell rings and the two lock up. Marella rolls up Page, but Page kicks out as another picture of Joe Hendry flashes on the screen for a third time. Marella rolls up Page, but Page kicks out and lands a big boot on Marella. He wears him down with a submission hold, but Marella fights his way out with right hands to Page's midsection.

Marella gets Page up on his shoulders and delivers an Airplane Spin to him, but Page looks to land a Twisted Grin on Marella. Marella avoids it and lands a Stunner on Page, but Page rocks Marella with a spinning kick to his head. Marella responds with an arm drag to Page and flies over the top to level Page on the outside. He dumps him back in the ring, but Marella looks to cinch in The Cobra on Page. The referee stops Marella, opening the door for Page to land a Twisted Grin on Marella for the win.

Winner and STILL NXT North American Champion: Ethan Page

    – Tony D'Angelo sits with a glass of wine. He says he doesn't need to be called The Don anymore, and Tony D is fine. D'Angelo gets his place settings in order, someone approaches him and a shadow covers him and we fade to black.
