Talking Fired TNA Wrestler Lashes Out!, Dutch Mantel Killing TNA?

Matt Bentley appeared on the "Between the Ropes" radio show in Florida last night and discussed his release from TNA Wrestling.

Bentley, whose deal with TNA expires on August 20, said TNA simply informed him that he was finished with the company instead of thanking him for his time with the company and wishing him well. He described the morale of the TNA roster as being very poor and that many wrestlers are upset that they work hard only to have former WWE stars being brought in and leapfrogging them for a larger spot on the roster.

Bentley continued to address former WWE stars being brought into TNA saying they were supposed to be "big stars", but the ratings never rise. He said that TNA used to be a place that was fun to work, but it has now changed where you used to be able to go out and work hard in the ring where as now it is all about "entertainment" segments. Bentley also put a lot of blame on Dutch Mantel with TNA's problems saying he never liked the Serotonin gimmick.

In regards to a Congressional letter being sent to TNA, Bentley said he was never drug tested by TNA during his time working there and didn't see other wrestlers being tested either. To listen to the full interview, visit www.betweentheropes.com.

It should be noted that one TNA wrestler who heard Bentley's comments on "Between the Ropes" had the following comment: "You have to put it in perspective. This is a guy who wanted $2,500 a shot."

He should be happy he's not in TNA no more he was so berried it wasn't funny. TNA has to sign wrestlers from some where and ex WWE wrestlers are the best thing IMO.

I really wish TNA would hire Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson,...I would love to see him wrestle Sting before Sting retires,...also I'd like to see The Rock wrestle Abyss, Christian Cage, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Rhino, and Angle,....and also Tag Team with Sting and take on Team 3D, and The Steiner Bros!!

All of those matches would be awesome, and I can guarantee you that TNA's ratings would rise!!:agree:

I'm glad TNA is in this state now, maybe they'll learn that stealing WWE talent and just making them instantly big there isn't what they should do but try to make their own stars that will make WWE jealous because having TNA take people like Christian, Kurt Angle, Dustin Rhodes etc. and just make them big will not have TNA have their own big stars just make WWE former stars bigger somewhere else so that they can have the benefit of saying that they were big in WWE and TNA...

IMO taking WWE talent is how they have built their roster and it has made it better.

So long as they dont go the same way as WCW and take all the old WWE stars and continue to push them then i dont see to much of a problem. However if they begin to take more and more ex WWE stars and push them above their old roster they might head the same way as WCW as we all know what happened there...

Actually when the ex-wwf guys went to wcw, wcw almost destroyed the wwf by stealing their audience and beating them in the ratings for 83 consecutive weeks while literally making billions of dollars for Turner. WCW died because they were poorly managed, not because they raided vince's roster.

I always understood it that all those nwo boys and bischoff drove the company in the ground... they ran all the shows won when they wanted too, and wrestled when they felt like it... so to me which most of the nwo guys where ex wwfers and the end result when they got lazy was they killed wcw.. i know about the rating and everything, but in the end THEY killed it, that and david arquet as champ LOL
