i just got done watching the Vengeance "Night Of Champions" PPV And I Started To THink About What World Championship Had More History The WWE Championship Held By John Cena Or The World Heavy-Weight Championship Held By Batista Heres The Facts On The World Heavy-Weight Championship
NWA World Heavyweight Championship (1986 1993)
In January 1991, the NWA title belt was extended to also represent the WCW title.
From March 21 to May 19, 1991, Tatsumi Fujinami was recognized as NWA Champion following a disputed victory over Ric Flair but Flair retained the belt as WCW Champion.
While champion, Flair was fired from World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in July 1991. The belt was "by default" the property of Flair as he had a US$25,000 deposit on it and he took the belt with him when Jim Herd refused to pay the deposit back.
Flair soon signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and wore the belt as the "Real World Champion".
Upon his signing, Flair was stripped of the title in September 1991 by the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). The title remained vacant until August 1992. WCW ultimately bought the belt from Flair and it represented the NWA title again but the belt was now owned by WCW.
WCW World Heavyweight Championship (1991)
In January 1991, the NWA belt was extended to represent both the NWA title and this newly-created title, aside from the two months in which Fujinami was recognized as NWA Champion while Flair was WCW Champion. During this period the belt only represented the WCW title.
The belt represented the WCW Champion from the title's formation until Flair was fired in July 1991, when a new belt was created and a new champion was crowned.
WCW International World Heavyweight Championship (1993 1994)
In September 1993, when WCW withdrew from the NWA, the Big Gold Belt was rechristened the WCW International World Heavyweight Championship.

WCW World Heavyweight Championship (1994 2001)
The belt represented this title again in 1994 when the WCW International World and WCW World titles were unified. The WCW World title belt and the WCW International World title were dropped.
After the WWF purchased WCW in 2001, this continued to serve as WCW's top title during the "Invasion" storyline. After the storyline ended in November the title was unified with the WWF Championship. Its official lineage subsequently ended with Chris Jericho being the final WCW Champion.
WWF/WWE "Undisputed" Championship (2001 2002)
Following the unification of the WWF and WCW World titles, the two belts were collectively used to represent this title until a new, single belt was introduced in April 2002.
World Heavyweight Championship (WWE) (2002 Present)
The Big Gold Belt, which bore the name of no promotion, was originally used when this title was introduced in September 2002. It was replaced in March 2003 with a new, similar belt that incorporates the WWE logo at the top of the center plate. The title is currently held by Batista and defended on the SmackDown! brand.
and as 4 the WWE Championship
The WWE Championship was originally known as the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) World Heavyweight Championship. However, in 1971, the title was demoted in "World" status when the WWWF rejoined the National Wrestling Alliance. Then, in 1979, the name of the promotion was changed to World Wrestling Federation, thus the title was referred to as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) Heavyweight Championship. After the WWF left the National Wrestling Alliance in 1983, the title regained its "World" status and became known as the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. The title began to be referred to simply as the WWF Championship when the "Attitude Era/Big Eagle" belt design was introduced in 1998 with the words "World Wrestling Federation Champion", no longer making use of the words "World Heavyweight".
In March 2001, the World Wrestling Federation purchased World Championship Wrestling. Following this, the "Invasion" storyline was orchestrated, in which WCW was ultimately dismantled. After the "Invasion" concluded, it was agreed to unify the WCW Championship with the WWF Championship at Vengeance 2001. At the event Chris Jericho defeated The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin to win the WCW/World Championship and the WWF Championship respectively. As a result, Chris Jericho became the first Undisputed Champion in the World Wrestling Federation. [1] With only one champion, the unified title became known as the "Undisputed" Championship.
The belts stayed unified throughout the WWF/WWE name change and the WWE Brand Extension, which allowed the Undisputed title to be defended on the RAW and SmackDown! brands. However, when Brock Lesnar won the Undisputed Championship, he signed an exclusive contract to appear and defend the title on the SmackDown! brand only, thus leaving the RAW brand without a top championship. Following Lesnar's actions, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff introduced the World Heavyweight Championship and commissioned it to be the main title for the RAW brand. He awarded the title to Triple H and stated that the Undisputed Championship could no longer be "Undisputed" because it belonged to only one brand. Immediately afterwards, the title returned to being the WWE Championship.
The WWE Championship remained exclusive to the SmackDown! brand from August 26, 2002 until June 6, 2005, when the WWE Champion, John Cena, was drafted to the RAW brand during the 2005 WWE Draft Lottery. This left the RAW brand with the two top titles until the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, was drafted to the SmackDown! brand on June 30, 2005.
The current WWE Champion is John Cena, who is in his third reign. He defeated Edge at Unforgiven 2006 in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match on September 17, 2006 in Toronto. Cena's reign is the seventh longest of all time. He has held the championship for more than 365 days, making him only the sixth wrestler to hold the title for longer than a year and the first since Randy Savage in 1989.
