would love to see it happen, but who knows, it might never happen... but it wud be great to see HHH atleast hit the 16th mark and beat Flair's record...

i dont think flair deserves his record he was basically given like 14 of his title reigns by wcw because he was a big name they might do that with triple h too

Yeah I have to admit that I would rather see a guy like Triple H take on that honor, as most of Flair's reigns were as a result of WCW thinking he could carry the company. Triple H should be the guy for the new generation, one that we can all be proud of. Not to say as a fan I'm not proud of Flair's record, it's just that I would rather see a guy that I've seen develop and become a true champion in this business take the record.

I never uderstood the facination with being a "16-time" champion. To be champion 16 times, you had to lose it 15 times. I don't think it matters how many times you were champion... just how long you were good enough to be champion. Nobody will ever do that as well as Flair did.

a few folks here are kinda slagging flair off saying hhh is more deserving of the title record. i think these people may be forgetting how awesome the guy was in his prime. he single-handedly carried the nwa/wcw for more than a decade and, despite the nwa/wcw trying to hand the title off to guys like luger and sting, none of them could draw like flair. give the guy his respect...hhh certainly has. and while it's a given that hhh will wera the belt several more times (baring injury) i certainly don't think the wwe or hhh would ever disrepect flair by handing hhh the belt several more time JUST to give him the title record. i would wager that the title record is a marketing thing for fans more than anything the wwe gives a seconds thought.

I can definately see it happening especially since the closer he comes it will draw ratings whenever he is wrestling for the title.
