
Reformed boy band TAKE THAT and singers LEONA LEWIS and MIKA have each scooped four Brit Awards nominations in London.
All three artists will go head-to-head in the Best British Album and Best British Single categories.
Take That also scooped nominations for Best British Group and Best Live Act and Lewis faces stiff competition from newcomer Kate Nash, KT Tunstall, PJ Harvey and Bat For Lashes in the Best British Female category.
She is also up for Best British Breakthrough opposite Mika, who is also shortlisted for Best British Male Artist and Best Single for his hit Grace Kelly.
Super-producer Mark Ronson, singer Kate Nash and rock bands Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs landed three nominations each at the nominations announcement earlier today (14Jan08).
Rock veterans the Eagles scored nominations for two international Brits - Best Album and Best International Group - and Sir Paul McCartney, who will close this year's ceremony with a performance will pick up an Outstanding Contribution to Music prize.The annual Brit Awards will be handed out at London's Earls Court on 20 February (08)
