PIC SCANDAL: Raunchy photos of teen queen Miley Cyrus have reportedly been placed online.
Raunchy photos of teenage superstar Miley Cyrus have reportedly appeared on the internet, but some fans are questioning whether the pics are of a look-alike of the Hannah Montana star.

The photos allegedly show the 15-year-old daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus pulling down her white singlet to reveal a lacy green bra.

In another shot, Cyrus flaunts her bare midriff while draped over a young male. Another shot shows her cuddling up to the same guy.

Cyrus is a wholesome role model to millions of America's youngest fans.

The Associated Press reported her Best of Both Worlds tour sold out arenas, and her successful 3-D concert film collected $US31.3 million ($NZ39.94) in its opening weekend in February.

It's not the first time raunchy pics of the singer have reportedly appeared online.

The Los Angeles Times reported photos of Cyrus posing in a bikini and in her underwear were posted on her MySpace page six months ago.

At the time, Miley said the photos were "nothing bad" as she was just having a sleepover at a hotel with a friend.

Fans questioned whether the latest batch of photos really were of the star.

"The pics look fake and I really do think someone set these up like that!" wrote Lily from Oklahoma.

"Someone is just jealous of Miley! She is an awesome girl and very talented!"

If the photos are of Cyrus, she wouldn't be the first to fall from grace in similar circumstances.

Vanessa Hudgens caused an outcry when nude pics of the High School Musical star appeared online.

Despite the controversy, Disney kept Hudgens on for High School Musical III, due for release later this year.
